Anyone successfully change the icon? Haven't been having any luck swapping out the icon with iMame's. I think if I can get that sorted I can bypass the impending jailbreak. With all these "back-door" apps I've collected over time I have most of what I enjoyed about jailbreaking: free tethering to my iPad using my iPhone's unlimited data plan, and Mame
Yes, I know what a trademark is and, like many others, even though I know the words patent, trademark, and copyright have distinct meanings and uses, I tend to use them interchangeably. That said, the basic statements were that you did not get the proper permissions from the MAME team. Whether or not they were trolls, I don't know. It didn't seem like it but I hope you are right. I was just stating what I read. It clearly states on the MAME site you have to get permission. This is from the FAQ: Q. If I obtain a license from an original manufacturer to distribute the ROMs can I use MAME to run them? A. Generally, no, because it constitutes a commercial use of MAME. However, we have in the past made a couple of exceptions for this particular case. We will not consider making any further exceptions without proof that such a license has already been obtained. Again, I'm on your side. I'm loving the app. I hope the app sticks around a long time. Not sure about Android, I don't have a droid. Was it distributed with ROMs?
Thanks for the awesome tips with PlayChoice guys, very much appreciated! I wish indytemp would work, but it's a finicky rom, I've only gotten it to work on iMame for iOS and Mame 0.127b For those unfamiliar with arcades, try finding matmania, it's an awesome wrestler.
Does the CPS3 game Red Earth / Warzard exist on the .139 romset? So far I see Street Fighter 3 and JoJo but no Red Earth.
No you can do it, I already answered his question several pages back. Has anyone gotten digdug to work?
Sweeeeeettttt!!!!! Thx so much! BTW for those who worry I'm on 6.1 on iPhone 5 and iPad 3 And the new version on the Apple TV 3 everything works fine even AirPlay and tv out via HDMI. Awesome app wish for a real snes and GBA emu next I do fill kind of sad paying 4.99 to Capcom for MVC2 with NO icade support when I have this rare gemÂ… no biggy
Typical bullshit from Apple - after all, everything is run in a sandbox and in no way can pose any security risks to any other app / the system. Translation of the bolded part into English: "we protect all our income in every way possible so don't even think of circumventing purchasing games from the AppStore by using emulators".
Umm yes you can do it that way in fact IMO its the best way to do it, that way you can pick from any of the 4 characters instead of playing in a different slot.
Man. Don't be kid. MAME team has a coordinator, currently Angelo, not X or Y. Don't trust what you read in a forum. As I said before they don have asked me to remove gridlee. Period. If they do I will remove, that's true. I don't like people think mame devs as a bullying kids that are threatening people if the app is pulled, that's not true.
Heads up to those who can't get the following to work: Galaga Dig Dug Rally-X You can find these games in either of the Name Classic Collection Volume 1 or 2, and they work great As a plus it also includes Galaga Arrangement
Anyone got a good site to get roms from? PM me if its against the forum rules to post! I'd really appreciate it
It is? is that official word from the dev team? I must have missed the update.. going to look now! so exciting! I so want to to jailbreak again!
Help I did as much research as I could so far, understand what to do to get a comparable game running, but in the mame root of a download, there appears to be a "virtual console," such as "neogeo.rom". This is not equal to a game rom file, which I understand will be named game.zip and need to be placed. In the rom folder. Could these .rom console files be placed somewhere in the app to extend the comparability of games that are not working otherwise?
Has anybody been able to get metal slug to work? For the life if me I can't seem to get it. A PM would be much appreciated!
I couldn't get the 139 version of marble madness to work either. As both it and Indytemp are Atari system 1 games, those romsets probably changed between 139 and 139u1. Just an educated guess, really.
