I would have to disagree with some of the comments above, i have every emu on phone (master system, nes, megadrive, snes, game boy color, gameboy advance, imame, scummvm) and they all work flawlessly but im still buying the official versions because we need to support the devs. If we dont support the devs then they wont even bother and we will never see these games on ios.

Works on non-Jailbroken iOS devices also!

I read the initial article (translated from Spanish on the Google Code site), and it mentioned that the app required a jailbroken device. Not true!

The ROMS directory is easily accessible with iFunBox (PC/Mac).

    Cool! :D

There were 54 games made available across the various Playchoice-10 machines and I've tested roughly 75% of them on my iPhone5, all of which managed to run with 100% performance.

We've come a long way indeed:

Have renamed the ipa file to zip and unzipped. How do I replace the Gridlee game with another mame rom?

You don't replace, you add into the library via ifunbox

    Absolutely love this!!
Got about 50 of my favourite retro games fully working now :D
Only minor issue i'm having is with the playchoice 10 games! can't get them to work :(
Got the playchoice 10 bios in the rom folder, got 5 playchoice 10 roms in the rom folder.but when i start a game,i'm only getting the red notice that it's missing files and stuff!
Aahhhhh running out of options to try and get them to work!

Got this working last night; no issues as I'm an old-time MAME user. :p

I've read through the entire thread, and I haven't seen this question asked yet, so here goes:

Is there a way to turn off the in-game user interface (e.g., joystick and buttons) and have the game fill the whole screen?

I'm using my iPad 3 + iCade, and having the virtual joystick and buttons doesn't serve much purpose in that configuration. I don't see anything in the config, but thought I'd ask anyway. It'd be great to play some of these old games in full screen (or close to it). It's fine if there's no way to do it, but it'd be very cool if there was a way!

Just selecting full screen in the options>settings>portrait/landscape does it for me.

I did read the forums, just made the dumb mistake of putting the roms in the documents folder and not the roms folder (was knocked out from cold medicine at the time lol). Having a blast with this now :)

Euhh, you have to add roms first maybe!
Just read through this thread and you know what to do.

D'oh! I'll try that later. It figures it was something obvious. I kept looking at the options for the virtual controls and didn't think to look for full screen.

    *sigh*

    Thanks!

    PlayChoice-10 Games on iPhone 4

    Hey y'all.

I just want anyone with an iPhone 4 to confirm that PlayChoice-10 games (namely SMB1-3) are running at about 90% speed--I'd love 100%, but there's slight choppiness.

So is it just the device?

    Thanks in advance.
