i could use some help with rerouting buttons for the nes roms....I can get them to run but i know you have to do something with the start and coin button to actually play them? some assistance would be appreciated?
Got the BIOS in the roms folder. But can't get to the title screen. Just get the red box with the missing files message. Still toying around trying to figure this out.
great news this, however an age old problem is happening .. had a scoot around the thread to find solution but noone has mentioned it yet, i think (that i can see). icaade and icade jnr! how on gods green earth do you get mame working correctly with this thing? only buttons mapped are coin and start, grrr! so near yet so far any help appreciated
I have Super Mario World running, but it's pretty laggy and has bad sound on the iPhone 5. Is there any fix to this? Or any way to speed up emulation? Thanks for the help!
Yeah imame runs a lot better for me, some games run better with this, like captain commando. Havent tried a lot but bad dudes and robocop run perfect in imame but lag with this. This version runs a lot more games but performance and sound are not as good as imame
Chose the option screen. Go into 'Settings' ->'Input' ->'External Controller'. Choose iCade. Very simple. There's also an option somewhere to hide the onscreen controls so they disappear when you use an external controller.
Man this is AWESOME!!!!!! Already had the imame app but this is much better supporting the newer roms and running flawlesly on my iphone 5. 10.000 times thanks to the devs!!!!!!
cheers for reply dude, i think the icade is hassle free but the icade jnr seems a little screwy! turns out you hit the input control menu by holding down start & coin buttons .. remapped from there, in case anyone else was experiencing difficulty like me
The window only seems to hold seven roms. If I add any more they don't appear in the list. Still says 7/7. Trying to scroll only takes you to the "Configure General Inputs". Surely you can have more than 7. Also curious. Can you remove the Gridlee rom?
What device are you on, and how did you get Mortal Kombat to run? On my 4s, it always says there is a missing rom image.
The only solution I've found for that is to try and use different roms of the same game. The Playchoice BIOS should fix the red box, maybe use a different version of that?
I've mostly tried the really old classics. So far working are Pac Man, Ms Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Centipede, Aliens vs Pedator and I think Qix will work if I can get past the language selection screen. No go on Asteroids and a few others. They run great on the iPhone 5 and iPad 2. Too much stuttering on the iPhone 4 to be playable.
