SF 3rd strike seems to take forever to load. The game starts once both the rom and CHD files were setup (CHD goes into a folder with the same name as the rom). Anyone managed to actually wait for the whole game to "load from the disk" ? How is the performance ?
On an iPhone 4 some games run a little choppy. Does anyone have any tips--I've tried speed hacks to no avail. I have 1.2 GB free on my phone if that helps too.
Yeh, I have heard this. I'm gonna get on it tonight once the nippers are in bed. A post at emuparadise says it took 25 mins to load I'm hopping that's just the first time.
Can anyone tell me how to get Metal Slug and Super Mario 3 with Playchoice-10 to work? I have the files, but Metal Slug tells me that it needs a CHD file? And Super Mario 3 boots into the opening screen, but not further. I'm on a iPhone 5 64GB.
I'm just going to my favorite sites and browsing. Adding all of my favorites off the top of my head as I remember them. Sometimes I have to download 4-5 sets until all the bios are loaded and it's working. 40-60 games is more than enough for me. I don't need 500gb of files to sort through.

backgrounds for Op Wolf & Op Thunderbolt... look awesome, but useless in an iPhone/iPod screen, the gameplay area turns too small
Anyone know why a game like marvel vs. capcom would be smooth on my iphone 4, but Super Mario Bros 1 and Donkey Kong are choppy?

I've never fiddled with ROMs before...but I downloaded this app figuring it would be fun to play some old games...but where can you get/buy them legally? Or is this one of those questions that no one really asks or knows the answer to? And once I get one, how to I install it and play it?
No. No. I genuinely believed that these were ok as they were used for restorations and such, the same was as the decals for pinball machines are across other scenes. Apologies - although I don't agree with you, this is a site that I would like to still remain a member of. I will post no more links to that site and will not respond to anyone that asks via PM etc. Sorry.
As far as I know their are no ways to legally obtain roms for emulators unfortunately. There are several apps on the app store like the atari arcade one that allows you to purchase older games and run them.
