Second impressions....small ''review''. I'll risk sounding like a total fanboy here but... I have to say it : This is one of the best experiences I ever had on mobile.... ever. This game is a gem, i'm so happy I decided to give it a shot, there's absolutely nothing that comes close to the quality of this game on iOS, this is the best port I have ever seen on the platform. With a controller it feels like I'm playing directly on my xbox 360 / PS3 ! This is my first racing game in years and im completely HOOKED. The 5 disciplines all feel very distinct and theyre all super fun. I also LOVE how you can customize the difficulty / assistance of the game / added mechanics in ANY WAY you can think of. The controls are also super customizable, from sensitivities to schemes. The cars all feel very different from one another, making it a very pleasant moment to have to adapt all the time to the stuff the game throws at me. I also love how this game feels like a middle point between Simulation and Arcade, id say it looks like its 60/40 on that regard, driving feels quite realistic, but the races themselves feel a bit arcade, making them more intense than a full fledged sim, more stuff happens, and in a video game i think it simply is an amazing thing ! Did I also mention the A.I. !? I know I mentionned it a little bit in my first impressions, but ''dayum'' this A.I. is cool ! You can really customize it and at higher difficulties it has such a ''human-like'' behaviour that I literaly almost feel like im playing online, they all do different stuff... and theyre actually GOOD at the game, can see myself being challenged for a very long time, since it looks like theyre very adaptive, they dont just always rely on the same gimmicks. Thank you so much Feral for getting this game out on iOS, you guys are my new heroes. I can only hope this game keeps on getting the support it deserves to fix the small bugs that will arise and/or add features My game of the year on iOS for sure at this point. I know i'll love FFXV - Pocket Edition but it will need to be more than amazing to take the spotlight from this ! Anyone who remotely enjoys racing games, that has a suitable device and that doesn't have this game yet... Stop waiting, buy this, now. This is the QUALITY game you guys want.
yeap! i am enjoying the races! for so long in the freemium i was either left in the dust if i was doing too good, or feeling totally op with disabled oponents if i needed to win something. Here, the thrill comes back. i manage 1st but by the skin of my teeth and the steel of my bumper not to mention i just ran over my rival’s broken mirror on the ground while on second lap. edit: 5 star and review left, all too often in great games we forget them and only give them to the 1star games
Install issue. Has anybody else had any issues installing? I have an IPhone 7, with the latest OS and around 10Gb of spare memory. The game d/ls almost to completion (which as you can imagine, takes a while), then it just says Cannot install app- Done or Retry. Any ideas? I really want to play this game.
I think youll need to free up space for the install process, because apps on iOS tend to require 2-3 times their actual storage space because it unpacks during install.
Guess Im going to have to be pretty ruthless with my game collection (until after installation). Its a good shout and worth a try. Thanks for the help.
Youre welcome. Believe me, its worth the temporary ruthless murder to your collection You won't regret this game I have a question for people who might have played more than me.... your teammate, will he ever get good ? All events I did so far my partner finished 13-16th, my ally never earned a single point in any of the 10 tourneys I did so far.
They are unlikely to be a race winner but you can help the outcome by using the teammate instructions in the bottom left. By swiping on it left or right on their current settings you can issue instructions to ask them to be more or less aggressive. More aggressive they might make up places but theyll also be more likely to crash so its a balancing act.
HD Textures If I download the HD textures, will load times increase and battery life decrease? Is there a way to un-install DLC after downloading? Really enjoying the game!!! And I was able to post a 5-Star review today
Thats what I thought... guess ill need to learn their AI better, didnt think theyd win races but I thought they could at least get somewhere in the top 8 eventually, I guess ill eventually make it happen Thanks ! You can disable all the DLC you want in the Settings on your iPhone/iPad, go to Grid Autosport in there and you'll have a menu to enable/disable DLCs, hope that helps
Huge thank you! and one question about gears Thank you for your big job, I can't still believe I'm playing such a great game on my phone! Want to ask you - is it a bug or not - when I downshift the gear during braking the brakes stop to work for a half of second, and it happens every change of gear. (I use tilt control with buttongears, but tried swipe and flick, all the same, iP8+ if it needed). In real life there is clutch and changing gears has no effect on brakes. If I use gear buttons after braking - that is the way out, but I lose so much time on it. Can you explain to me this aspect? And one more time - thank you for great game and big thank you for answering!
That's great, thanks very much! When developing the game we wanted to make use of iOS 11's improvements. Thank you. Please could you email our support team about your issue? [email protected] It'd be appreciated if you could include as many details as possible about your issue, and a video of it happening if possible.
This game is hard and I'm only playing on rookie. I'm still trying to get used to the controls. Anyone else finding it tough or is it just me.? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Its not your usual mobile game as it has a fairly realistic handling system in it - there are a number of assists that you can switch on to help (i.e traction control etc), have you tried those? And have you tried all the different control methods If you're not familiar with the game id recommend starting with them all assists turned on and then slowly disable them till its got to a challenging level you are happy with
It definitely needs some getting used to, especially if you play with touch controls. This is not the type of game youll master in 5 minutes, its a game youll master with practice, lots of it.
