No current plans. Sore point, actually. The game's already working on it but the route to market is a bit ridiculous, needing about 10 different translations, several official censorship ratings and various other expensive crap, not to mention gaining approval from three separate companies who don't seem to talk to each other. To that, add poor device sales and the fact that I need to learn a new scripting language and spend a week just making a store page and it's really too much cost and effort for expected return - we're better off expanding the core game and/or starting something else. Did I mention silly approval requirements like supporting the camera and that geo-location orienteering thing? What about that they initially leant us dev kit, presumably to Beta it, then recently they demanded them returned and expected us to pay thousands to get the "final" kits delivered? It's not going to happen unless they pull their heads out of their asses and make submissions as easy as Apple does. And yes I have contacted them to that effect. And... relax!
Everything you loved about Great Little War Game, but more. This really takes it to a whole new level. Been playing the beta and although I loved GLWG, this one is incredible! Don't wanna spoil any surprises but be prepared to be stoked! Even if you don't want to play the online multiplayer, the new elements are so much fun, can't wait to see the reaction.
I feel the exact same! Really looking forward to everyone else getting to finally join in on the fun....especially the multiplayer because it's awesome!
Wow. Going off the trailer. This game looks amazing!! Am I correct in assuming there are naval/aerial transports of your troops? (getting this thought off the Helicopter & Ship visuals from the trailer) Are the maps big enough? Will there be 4 way Free for all battles? Will there be 2v2? I am interested in troop, tank, heli types? Never played little war, but this certainly looks interesting. My war game as of now is Battle Academy. My current TBS is Outwitters. Looking forward to trying this one out.
Yes, there are helicopter, naval and jeeps for troop transport. The maps range from small-medium-large and are plenty big enough. There are a number of different troops, land/boats/choppers vehicles, support turrets, etc... As you know, Battle Academy is on a different level (and should be for the price) than any other game and is the best strategy game because it's really a PC game with a premium price...... GBWG is much simpler in design and execution but still has just as much strategy/tactics if not more than any other TBS out there (except Battle Academy of course). The campaign and skirmish are both great and all .....but the asynchronous, cross-platform (PC, MAC, Android) multiplayer is where this game really shines
Thanks for catching that. We just got back from our first trade show - Develop in Brighton - so late in responding. Some pics and etc will be on our facebook page shortly. (http://www.facebook.com/GreatBigWarGame) We even got a mention on the front page, thanks Jared.
