Hello everyone, Another level ready! =D There is still some quiet multi-view puzzles to be explored. This level makes use of a First-Person view, revealing some things from the perspective of the hero. This brings a lot of different possibilities like a labyrinth level, where there is a view as guide and FP view taking care of showing the details. I'll bring more updates about that level still in this week. Hope you'll going to like it as I am! =)
Remarkable First off, Kudos for doing this all on your own! I love the art and the concept. We're making a game which also has dual perspective, but not at the same time. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=274783 Good luck and if you need a Beta tester, do let me know!
Thanks Roach! It's awesome to hear that from another games developer. =) I took a look at Bird of Light and liked a lot! Loved your art style, Congrats! It remembers me of Zelda, when I had to look at the map to know where I had to go but, in your case, to build where I had to go, which is double cool! I'm in love with multiple perspective puzzles. It has so much to be explored, and I'm trying really hard to show everyone how awesome it is. Working with a FP camera was something new to me, allowed to see parts of the level that wasn't possible before. (Zelda Oracle of Seasons map)
Thanks TheGreatEscaper! In the beginning it was kind of difficult to make it works nice, but it's smooth now.
Hi, time to another update! In this part of the level there is one Gift "hidden" in the left side of the building. When the Hero got there, he has a Rewarding Vista, some kind of reward with something more beautiful and usually a different way from what the level is used to be seen. It is another form to explore what an FP view can provide, not only to see puzzle mechanics, but different angles of the level. Because of that, a lot of the level had to be covered to look perfect from every possible view. Thanks to everyone that replies and views this post, it's a great help to know that you're interested in Graybles! Thank you! =D
Hi everyone! I've been working hard with the new levels. I'll going to update more frequently this week. Keeping a day job and the dream in the night is hard, but it has been very rewarding see players testing Graybles, understanding how multi-perspective works without explanation and having fun while playing. =) Edit: Here's an image from what to expect from the new level. It's the tileset, that it's going to be transformed into voxel now, to be used in the game. That smile is of the door, every door in the game has some kind of 'personality'.
Hi everyone! Finally I have this new level done. I was missing some action in the game so, I build this level to be played more quicker than the others. You have to think fast to reach the end, while playing with multiple perspectives. This is the last level this year. I'll focus on a preview trailer right now, with all the updates I have. Thanks to everyone, see you in january with new updates!
Open Beta Hi everyone! A lot of updates, so here's a list: - First Trailer! Check it below; - I've dedicated my time in the past weeks to planning and game definitions. Something important to keep going; - A lot of player testing, been awesome with all the help; - First post of the thread updated to be more friendly (I think you'll going to like it); - Open Beta. I need some external help, so, feel free to send me your email; - I already told you about the trailer? =) Off-topic: How can I update the thread's title? Thanks!
Hi everyone, A quick update. I started to focus in the stories of the characters. Actually I still didn't have any character. =p I really want to post here their stories but, that could give you a spoiler. What you think? Should I post here to get some help and screw up your fun when the game release or not?
That's a tricky one, maybe just ask people to supply a story for the characters and you could use it if you like it
Good point. Maybe I'll show only the characters in their 3D models. Every character will have 2 stories: one before their own world starts and one after they finish. Maybe I'll share only the first part.
Hi I would really like to be part of the beta where can I email you for a chance at the beta? Game looks super fun
