Looks like purchasing any coin pack or the coin doubler should remove ads, but I've no idea how much these cost as none of the IAPs are working for me. I don't know if the ads will affect existing owners (I'd hope not). I was willing to purchase an IAP just to get rid of the bothersome ads as the game is pretty fun, but they were disabled. They were enough of an annoyance for me to delete it.
