Universal Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (by Rockstar)

Could someone confirm the ice cream (cherry poppers) distribution mission works?
Jumped in the van and tried to sound the horn (expecting a jingle and get nothing) so i cant do this mission.

Completed this. I have to say its prob my faverite ios game to date. Loved it 10 years ago and to replay it again was great. I'm really pleased they added icloud support for the game data plus updated graphics and custom soundtracks. I think its the best version of the game which seems crazy considering its on a phone/tablet with touch screen controls.

It played perfectly fine on iphone 5 but with some minor framerate drops on the ipad 3 and the game has a few glitches but nothing that hindered me progressing through the game.

 

When is a fix coming?

 

I found those rc copter missions easier then when i did it on ps2

 

The soundtrack...gawd I love it. I love everything about this game. Just...so perfect. This is how a port should be done. I'd pay my $5 over again in a heartbeat.

Anyone have any idea as to how much cash Rockstar is making out of these ports? They have to be making some substantial pocket change, otherwise we wouldn't be on the 3rd big game port.

 

yeah get some armour, use the assualt rifle,kill as many of them as possible. THEN, get jnto the truck

 

anybody has a set file with max settings like draw distance?

 

You can just use the gta 3 files. By renaming them of course. See gta 3 graphics modding thread.

 

I must say im enjoying this game more on my phone than the first time on the PS2

 

Is the car a mod or a car in the game

 

Questions...
1. Can you zoom in with the sniper rifle like in GTA 3?
2. What is the point of buying properties besides 100% completion?

 

1) yes. Pinch to zoom

2) You get additional missions, plus it's fun visiting some of them like the Malibu club for the music. And you can hide from the cops inside, though they sometimes come in after you if your wanted level is to high.

 

You need to buy a load of properties in order to get the final 2 storyline missions

 

Did they make this game easier because i remember having more troubles with some missions on PS2.

 

they did for the cuban mission where you blow up the factory, you get 1min to escape instead of 45sec: I'm sure there are other missions made easier but i don't look out for all of them

 

Nah its not a mod, its the Bloodring Racer,you get this when you have finished the 4th car list at Sunshine Autos

 

I'm actually surprised how easy the game controls when you get used to it. I was able to do the rc helicopter mission the first time I tried it, and remember how those always sucked ass on the ps2.

I'm only disappointed in the horrible draw distance and worthless custom playlist. Cars appearing right in front of you makes chases hard. I put together a nice 80's playlist for this game, and the game starts playing from the beginning of the list each time you enter a car. No random songs, unable to skip ahead, and no picking up songs in the middle like the radio stations do. I wish they had done more with this feature.

Still, great deal for the price. It's Vice City on my ipad.

 

The draw distance is the same as the PC version at max. I think it's the limitations of Renderware.

 

Put the playlist on shuffle on iTunes.

 

Works okay. It's better on ps2.
