New patch fixing Pier 69 problem. Hopefully also Sweet's Girl and the betting bug, but not holding my breath yet. Let's find out! Edit: ...Sweet's Girl still crashes when trying to start it. Sigh. Starting to think my save is bad or something. Starting over. Deleting entire app, reinstalling, and not restoring cloud backup. Here is hoping..
Lol, how many updates it needs to play it lagg free on an A7 device?! It took them almost 2 months to fix one single crash in a mission. Pathetic! So maybe I'm able to play it in another couple of months -_-
Yep it'll dip in certain areas of the game and if I'm listening to the mixtape station and it changes songs,if I'm driving real fast. Doesn't dip too terribly bad but it does drop below 20 frames
Yep, it sucks quite a bit. They had like an entire year to PORT a ten year old game, and totally screwed it up, even managing to break simple things like the radio.
Or maybe the A7 devices are just a bit lacking in performance? I don't know why anyone would buy them knowing they still have 1gb ram. A7 devices are equivalent to the beta product iPad 3 imo.
Despite what I've heard in the debate as to if a7 devices are more or less powerful, it shouldn't be too much to ask for a 10 year old game to run at least slightly above 30 fps on a7s. We can also compare the ps2 to the a7 chip, in which the a7 blows it out of the water.
(edit:whoops, it appears I accidentally double posted somehow. Hmm, it appears as if there is no delete post option, or atleast on the iOS app.
Nope.. At least for me is exactly same situation as before the update... 2-3 radio stations plays well and the others once in a lifetime. I don't how they don't fix this. Music is very strong point to all GTAs. Their soundtracks are classics. Anyway after 60 hours of gameplay i m just tired to listen only 2-3 stations which are not my favorite from back then.
Whaaaat? The iPad 3 was bad due to the A5X couldn't handle the retina display. A7 devices don't have to push more pixels than an iPad 3 or 4 and considering the iPad 4 doing rly well with GTA SA it's obvious that it's (still) not optimised. Look at IB 3 or Battle Supremacy for example. You will need an A7 device to get all the blows and whistles. So surely not underpowered^^ The GPU is a whole other architectur as the older generations, which a game needs to be specialy optimised for. Otherwise the A7 tries to overcome the deficits (lazy optimisation) through pure hardware power, which doesn't works for every game, especially if it's a port and open-world. Ah, i'm so tired of this...
Has anyone else found out how to start Sweet's Girl without crashing? I've reinstalled San Andreas and probably going to do it all again incase of somehow having a bugged save, but I'm equally bummed out losing all my progress. It kind of takes the fun out of this game wondering if it will happen again. I had full muscle, running stamina, no fat, pimped out, and a good bunch of the missions done.. But still Sweet's Girl was broken. Now I get to try all over again :/
I started the mission just fine with zero problems when I did it,are you sure the game didn't install wrong and you can just download your save from the cloud?
Bringing down my rating down to three stars until they optimise for A7 and fix the joypad controls. It's so frustrating because the game itself is so great. I want to enjoy it at its best. So anyway take that devs ! I've moaned at Rockstar too in the hope that everyone else has too so they do something about this shambles.
Just started playing this again for the first time since before Christmas. Still have the random crashing that stopped me playing then.
Yeah. Same save from cloud when I was iOS 6, now iOS 7, and repeat fresh installs of San Andreas. Probably my save is infact corrupt somehow. :/ Immediate crash to springboard when starting Sweet's Girl. Reinstalled from scratch and haven't restored my old save this time. Just sucks starting over. I'm going to be so mad if Sweet's Girl still crashes when I finally get back to it. ._.
