i'm having trouble with stoppies, but the wheelie trick worked just fine i wish there was a way to lean the bike while in the air though, haha thanks!
I'm with you on this. I bought the game then experienced the horrific controls then deleted it. I really want to play it as I paid for it but I just can't use the controls.
Don't hold the accelerator down all of the time, do it in small bursts when it is needed, and cut corners you could possibly make without crashing into the side of the track or going off of it And then there is the sniper rifle trick, as well (shoot everyone after they crossed the finish line with a sniper rifle to eliminate them from the race)
Anyone having this problem?: Whenever I go into ANY cloth stores, there is no blips by the dressing room and everybody is ducking, like i just fired a gun or somethin, which I didnt. Now I cant purchase any clothings at all. So yea, anyone with similar issues or fixes?
Which control setup do you use on racing missions? I'm getting flipping frustrated with the reverse WuZiMu race. I keep over or under steering...
Wuzi races were tough, the key is to go slow and steady. Tap the accelerator for turns and just try to keep pace til the end. Take every single turn carefully and it's not hard to catch up on the straightaways.
I hate to ask, but are you brandishing a gun? If you walk into any store with a firearm out they will assume the worst. It usually works that way in real life too.
I've tried without guns equipped, with guns, without any weapons in inventory, but still they cower in fear and no blip appears. I could change in the earlier mission where Sweet tells u to change to green. But after entering San Fiero, it's impossible to purchase new clothes.
It sounds like you have a corrupt save, there is a thread sorta buried in the general discussion forum where people were coughing up save files from various points in the game. Of course if you are only a little ways into the game then start from scratch, honestly once you know the first dozen missions you can whip through them pretty quick. One problem San Andreas had was the odd mission that was severely irritating, you need to recognize them and take them very seriously because 'checkpoint system' or not it is not fun to have to redo some of that stuff. In general if you need to take out a car in a limited time try to do a PIT maneuver and pin them into a spot where they are stuck, for example. Not sure why this port is prone to save file corruption, I think it must be the poorly implemented checkpoint baloney that causes things to go wonky. The original PS2 or XBox release didn't have these issues.
I have replayed this mission (Farewell My Lovely) numerous times (shortcuts included) and have only made it to the finish line once (keep crashing in to the sea or river) and that time I was so far behind it wasn't even funny. In other races I have been able to chose a car I was more comfortable with. In this race you are stuck with the games choice of car and I find it extremely difficult to control it. I think this is where Grand Theft Auto and I part ways which is unfortunate because despite all it's faults I was enjoying it.
Maybe your car driving skill is too low. I have noticed after 40% driving skill cars are more stable.
I think that could be my problem. I looked at the game stats and I've played for over 11 hours but my driving skill is still at 0%. Must be an issue with the game as I have done lots off driving. It really is a buggy mess of a game.
