Number of cores dont matter, it is ultimately what the GPU is clocked at. Even 8 cores wont make games butter smooth on Android.
Hey guys...did you know that you can take a freight train all the way around San Andreas regardless of all of the boundaries which have been set up? It's pretty weird
Still having terrible framerate issues on my retina mini Everything feels jerky and the game is borderline unplayable. I'm torn between waiting for them to fix it via an update or just getting the Android version for my Galaxy S4.
I don't understand this as it's working just fine on my 1st gen ipad mini. I've played about 6 hours now and only 8% in. There's just so much to do - real enjoying this even more than I thought I would. In the past half hour I've been chasing a train on a bike with Big Smoke, done some spray painting and couple of stunt jumps, played 'They Came from Uranus' on an arcade machine I found in a shop, played basketball, restyled CJ with a blonde afro and watched the sun setting as I listened to 'playback fm'. So much to do and such a fun world to do it in. In fact last night I started up GTA V to play a few missions and just couldn't get back into it - I ended up playing San Andreas on my ipad instead. And it doesn't bother me that I'm playing a port of an almost 10 year old game. Playing it again is a completely different experience on an ipad and I'm enjoying re-discovering everything the game has to offer...
Horse betting bug I've been doing horse betting and the odd thing is that when my horse win , I don't get the money I won but instead I lost all the money I betted. I don't get it? Is there something I should do? Or is horse betting banned in ios ports?
Ye, your 1st gen mini don't have to push 4x the amount of pixels (2xhight, 2xwidth) like a Mini Retina. Plus, SA isn't optimized for A7 devices at all. Maybe they said that in the description but it's clearly a lie. So far, it runs good on A5 & A6 devices.
I got this last night, couldn't hold off any longer First impressions are mixed. It looks good and I like the improvements. The controls, I'm still getting used to, so it's unfair for me to comment on them but. It's stuttering a lot, getting severe frame rate drops in places which I'm quite stunned to see tbh. It's not ruining the game but it is spoiling it a bit, I expected it to be smooth.
Found a minor bug with the parachuting lesson in the flight school. When it says you should double tap to open the parachute, there's also a button on screen that will open it. But if you use that button instead of double tapping like it tells you, it won't advance the state of the mission and won't notice you landed. You can then walk to the target marker and double tap to get scored. (Not sure you can get gold easier that way though, I did it the normal way and it was pretty tight.)
They definitely need to add cheats to all their games, now that we have native controllers for ios; there's just no excuse, even if they are ports of the PC version and not console version. There's gotta be some way they can do it for the new native controllers. Everyone loves GTA as it is, but when you beat the game and have the ability to use crazy cheats and pull off crazy stunts, that makes the game amazing.
Does this game have a save and quit option, like if you get interrupted in the middle of a mission or when you can't get back to the safe house to save?
Played many times offline and closed the game without saving in CJ's house. When I start the game again (whether exited out or closed from multitasking) it puts me where I left off, so it has some sort of auto-save on the device even when offline. - iPhone 5 iOS 7.1 (beta 2)
I don't give a damn about cheats tbh. I think it should be far more important to improve the performance so the game doesn't have such fps spikes and stuttering.
In my experience, it doesn't. Iphone 5. It has not. If you look in one direction and try to shoot someone, CJ will sometimes shoot at something in a completely different direction. And tapping on something or someone to aim a them is still just as hard. But you're playing GTA on an iphone, so that's lucky enough as it is.
Odd that so many A7 devices are having such severe framerate issues running this game. Been playing this for over 6 hours and it's been running super smooth on my ipad air, no issues whatsoever.
Yeah it has autosave, but it won't save mission progress beyond checkpoints. It looks like they tried to do that though, I've come back to the exact scene as when I closed the game, cars in the same positions and all, just mission progress broken or lost...
