Run really smooth on my iPhone 5,i think The problems with framerate on A7 devices it's due to' The factor that an app have exclusively optimized for the 64 bit processor,you can see the difference in termin of graphics,but not on framerate..
i don't believe this is optimized for 64-bit as the graphic enhancements are on iPad 4 as well. bought iPad 4 almost a year ago and it's still keeping up w/the Jones'. wish i would've gone for 64GB though.
They were probably working on the port for atleast a year so you cannot blame them that the game does not perform well on the A7 devices. Maybe they need to recompile it for the 64bit processors, I don't know but they need to fix it. I'm playing this on my iPhone 5 for now (it's running buttery smooth). It runs like shit on the rMini bordering on unplayable.
There's very little out there to push it to its limits to be fair. I'm holding onto mine (64gb, sorry) for another year or so.
Well that sucks. I tried playing both gta vc and gta 3 on my brand spanking new iPad mini with retina, only to find that they play worse than on my older iPod. Hugely disappointing, what's the point of having the best of the best if developers arent going to optimize for it. Fingers crossed that either Rockstar or War Drum Studies are aware of this, and are working on a fix.
What are u talking about?? Its at max acceptable on the air while its ultra smooth on my old iphone 5.. I dont know why!! Hope they fix it the air version is too laggy
What do you mean laggy? Surely lag is directly linked to latency and thus can only occur when playing online? or do you mean low fps or low frame rate?
Plays great on my ipad mini. Very happy since this was the only gta game I actually never bought or played.
My favorite game of ps2 era but sadly on ipad mini it crashes constantly. I get one mission done and it closes up. Quite a pain but I find it works really good otherwise control related. Looks better than ps2 version graphically also or at least in par. I'd wait for a patch it's unstable right now. I have old mini nit new for the record Also worth note a few slowdowns and some mission objectives not updating properly causing you to have to restart missions. Specifically Tagging at the start of game 3rd mission I believe had to do it three times
Running fine for me. Only noticible thing, is when you're on a bike, there is CJs shadow, but no bike shadow! So it's just a floating CJ apparently! Pop-in for cars seems considerably better than VC which sucked! Look deep in background and spot a car. Compare that to VC below, this car has only just popped in. Cuisin' in ma ride Other notes for all users: No cheats (but I mailed R* requesting it! and they seemed very positive about he - the guy said he loved the Jetpack cheat back in the day... So it could hopefully one day come. There was certainly no definite ruling out by them) Mini Games on the TV are still there! Adapted for touchscreen with a virtual joystick and action button
This game is absolutely awesome, such memories from the old days when playing haha. It runs great on my 1st gen iPad Mini, iPhone 5, and my iPad 2. Very smooth, not one crash yet after a few hours of play, just an occasional quick frame stutter. Amazing they pulled this off, if on the fence jump over, buy it, it rocks.
On iPad 4 bikes have shadows too, maybe they are part of "Enhanced for the iPhone 5 series and iPad 4th Gen and above with dynamic detailed shadows and real-time environmental reflections."
Not sure what's to complain about... Even if it crashes constantly it's still the best game on the App Store! Anyone notice if you can increase the size of the buttons as opposed to just moving them? I like the two buttons for steering, but my fat fingers are having a hard time hitting them on my iPhone5 . I could make them bigger in the other GTAs.
Well i'm away at the moment but i cant wait to get back and install this ! What a week for releases ! I cant believe someone said 'whats the point in getting this if you've already got it on X-Box etc'. I mean to have SA with me at all times so i can have a quick go here and there is a dream. Shall be buying this the second i'm back home. Trust this to appear when i'm away !
Works absolutely flawless on my iPhone 5. The shadows are amazing. Also the graphics and the reflections make this game look like the pc version with mods. Unbelievable! Brings back so much memories.
