From those app store screenshots I guess the XBox version will reign supreme as one with the best graphics. The mobile release looks to use the XBox version's higher polygon models in cut scenes and for Clause in game. I can't tell from the screenshots whether other models or vehicles are using the higher polygon models too. The mobile version doesn't seem to be using the XBox version's shader effects for real-time reflections and lighting on cars. Vehicles look to be using the same textures as the PC version, which is worse than the XBox version. Comments on whether there are noticeable visual differences between the iPad 2 and 4th gen Touch would be greatly appreciated. Any differences in draw distance, pedestrian/vehicle density, texture quality, etc. You don't by any chance see evidence of real-time reflections on the vehicles on either device do you?
Impressions don't come until it's released in Europe. There are almost never Aus or NZ impressions. Those people are all sleeping. If you've been around the block enough times, you know the deal. Driving controls for open world iOS games have always been iffy. I've played them all. The controls are spotty for literally all of them. That is my main concern. Tilt controls for driving have never worked well on any open world game on this platform. CTW was the worst. You do not realize how broken the touch controls on CTW are until you've played the PSP version. The iOS version is damn near unplayable in comparision. I except the control to be at least passable this time around.
itcommander.data yes you can see the difference between the ipad2 & ipod4 but nothing that makes a big factor ,but im just impressed the ipod touch runs smooth
