LBG made this one and ipt4 users say it works without a framerate drop. This one includes lighting and everything

It works as it is stated! I've tried it and the framerate seems to be the same as the original ones.

This mod has made me think that those developers should start thinking to include the "graphics setting" into the their games. It is like giving us a freedom to decide the "experience" on playing those games.

At the end, we don't know people who prefer the beautiful graphics but laggy or people who prefer smoother gameplay but lack of details in terms of graphics.

If you don't like the way a game is made, don't play it all.

A message to those who complain about FREE games....

    Dude!
That was a suggestion form my point of view,
and I am not saying that I don't like the way a game is made.
What Im saying is, adding up some "graphics setting" would be better for people who don't own the latest devices.

Well, it might be a part of Apple's strategy with the game developers to force people to upgrade their older devices into the latest ones.

By the way, GTA 3 is not a free game. And I paid 5 bucks for it man!

Cheers! Happy holiday and happy gaming!

Are you referring to the GTA3.SET that I modded?

If so, I'm glad it's working the way it should. It's been DL'd a few hundread times now and I haven't had any response saying either good or bad.

No LBG made it. Posts about it can be seen here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=117393&page=5

I have looked, and see that the GTA3.SET modded by LBG has a slightly lower draw distance then mine. They seem to run exactly the same though.

So does that mean the mod by LBG will give higher framerate than yours?

Wish Rockstar would make an update which improves the graphics slightly on the iPad 1 like what Firemint did to Real Racing 2 HD.

iPhone 3GS owners: Don't bother with the game, it's extremely ugly and lags on the 3GS... not even counting that it crashes a lot...

I hope they'll release support for it later on..

I'm not sure I agree. It looks decent; it's a 10 year old PS2 open world game. It's definitely playable. I'd say it runs at about 15fps and it's never crashed on me. 3GS on 4.3.3.

It crashed for me even before i could get to the first destination.

And saying that it looks decent... well then we have a different idea about decent... :)

How it looks in the iPhone 4 is what i could call decent, but not on the 3GS.

    touch pad controls

I have been searching all over the web for a list of all the controls for this game. I am loving it on my iPad2 but can't figure out how to do certain things. Like I am on the mission where you have to steal the mobsters car and take it to 8 balls to get a bomb in it and bring it back. I can't activate the bomb! I put it back in the spot but when i get out of car it says the bomb isn't activated. I tried beeping the horn and all kinds of swipes and gestures.. changing radio stations.. etc. The time runs out and i fail. Anyone know how to do it?

Also... i know you can swipe your finger in the middle of a moving car to spin the camera 360 but thats really hard to do when driving.. is there a way to bring up a quick rear view like you could on the PS2?

I haven't played it on the iPad, but there should be a button that looks like a bullet when you're in the car, if I remember correctly. That'll activate the bomb.

When you're driving, if you hold a finger on the center of the screen, after a second or two, you'll get the rear view angle until you let go.
