I'm on the bank mission, I can't lose all the cops, where are all the cop stars I can't find them all.
Wow. Great comparison. From the above pictures it's clear that while Rockstar disabled effects on Apple A4, they didn't really lower the draw distance. Even the furthest warehouses are accounted for on both devices. This was a great choice since poor draw distance would hamper gameplay in a way that missing lighting effects or shadows wouldn't. If you could pop the hood on cars, I believe A4 devices use a texture for the engine like on PS2/PC while A5 devices get actual polygon like on XBox.
Not surprised this is game of the week in the least bit . Truly an amazing game on my 4s that is for sure.. Im a huge GTA fan also so id had some decent high expectations of the port and R* came through big time. This game climbed the charts so fast i would honestly be surprised if this wont be there fastest and best selling game for quite sometime.
Is it safe to say that if I gave in and bought this on my iPod Touch 3G 32GB I would be wasting my time due to poor device performance?
To repeat barca's question, anyone know how to use cheats? With an awful aiming and camera in battle situation, I could really use something stronger than a pistol. In the meantime I really hope rock star is beginning work on some sort of strafing aiming mode, it's a shame this game has to be bogged down by this. Otherwise, it's perfect.
I forgot how annoying some of the missions are in this game. Now i know why i decided to move on to saints row when it came out :/ I'll still play it to completion, but some missions have me nearly tossing my phone at the wall.
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=2047982&postcount=401 Duke Floss posted a video of GTA III running on his 3rd gen Touch. That should give you an idea of how it'll run. You can probably talk to him for more details. Auto-aim problems were a common issue in console and PSP GTAs. It seems like a design philosophy/choice so probably won't be changed. I suppose they could try to replicate the PC's mouse and reticle setup, but that might not translate well on a touchscreen either given how many buttons are already crowding screen real estate.
A problem I find is when moving the camera view around. I tend to try and move the camera by touching on top of the right side buttons, but it doesn't work. Rockstar has divided the screen into three columns/sections: for joystick, for buttons and for camera movement, so if you want to move the camera around, you have to touch the middle section of the screen. It's the same problem I had in Shadowgun, so I'll have to get used. The game is great anyway, and obviously light-years better than any GL pseudo-GTA
I seriously dont understand why this game have so sh1ty graphic on iphone4. They are lazy.. Just take a look on gameloft games such as nova2, mc3, gangstar and order and chaos. Rockstar better be upgrading this game soon..
If an iPhone 3GS has the same specs then yes. And judgin by the video above...well I couldn't play it ona 3GS. 10-15 frames without any action on screen.
Guys do I have a bad feeling that BLOOD is only supported by iPad2 and iPhone4S? or is this some kind of censure?
This game got alot more goin on then some corridors in nova tho. And it is a decade old so optimizing this one for ios probably is a PITA.
i dont have blood on iP4, WTH? Yeah thats right about environment in this game. Gameloft games looks pretty beacause they are empty. I think it's time to upgrade iDevice to the newest generation.
