It seems to all be there. All the original radio stations are included, so I assume all the songs are included. I've already heard a few of my favourites which brought back some good memories HELL YES!
Sweet, I'm gonna have to buy this and make my first priority parking at the side of the road and listening to Chatterbox FM in its entirety
Oh, my stars and garters, the nostalgia of it all--!!! (remembers doing exactly the same on PS2) "I work MEERACLES, sen~or, NOT PEEMPEENG." Fernando Martinez FTMFW.
Game runs perfectly fine on my iPhone 4s and iPad 2. The size isn't so bad considering I've got 64GB of storage in both. Suffer non-64GB, non-A5 CPU users. SUFFER!
I bought this 20 mins ago before school and I came back 20 mins later to see if it finished and I got that stupid "Are you 17 or older message"... I don't think I'll finish the download before I have to go now...
I will buy it but I have to buy it from another AppStore as the German version is censured. German game censorship drives me batty (particularly as a Brit living in Germany), particularly with Steam, as it tends to me that German censored games only come in German.
exactly the same situation with me..... have just bought an uk itunes gift card, registered there, and its downloading now Also bought Football Manager Handheld 2012, which due to Oliver bloody Kahn is also not available in Germany
I wish they allowed for mp3 radio station like on the old pc version. You could run your own mp3 from disk. For iOS it would be perfect to run music directly from the iPod playlist. That would be great. They should definately add iPod radio station!
Played for an hour or so, completed only two missions, the rest was exploring. Still blown away that a game like this will run on my ipad. Let's hope it sells well so Rockstar can port other GTA titles.
For those wondering how the game performs on an iPhone 4: Performance is very acceptable but nothing beyond that. It's often around 20-25fps and above 30fps sometimes when you're in some alley where there's nothing going on. The low fps doesn't annoy me but it does make the game significantly less immersive. I must admit though, heh, the framerate kinda adds to the nostalgia cause I seem to remember the PS2 version running like this. What does seem to be missing from the PS2 version: wet reflective streets when it rains (this was quite pretty) and the sort of blur/bloom it had. Not sure I miss the latter but the reflections really added atmosphere and eyecandy. Oh and it's definitely rendering at sub-retina resolution on the iPhone 4 (480x360? not sure, might be a bit higher than that) but surprisingly I only noticed this when someone else brought it up, fact that menus/UI are displayed at a nice clean retina resolution probably does a lot.
Rockstar did an excellent job with this one. It works surprisingly well on my 4th gen iPod Touch. I particularly like the accelerometer driving, a first for GTA. I love weaving in and out of traffic with those fun yellow cabs. Overall, well worth the money!
I'm blown away by this, and i wasn't expecting to be that interested in playing GTA3 again. Firstly, the graphics look nice and sharp on my ipad 2, but more importantly, the gameplay is smooth and i think they done a great job with the controls. At £2.99 this is an absolute bargain. Can't wait to rediscover it all again. Great job Rockstar! MSX radio every time
^^THIS. "So many styles, so many skills--!! One-oh-one-point-one!!" /blistering drum'n'bass Such an 'ard act to follow.
So it's not possible to turn autoaim off? I realize this was probably the case for GTAIII back on ps2/xbox but I still feels stupid. I played Vice City and San Andreas on PC so there was free aim, same for GTAIV on PS3.
