It is possible to release an app manually instead of setting a date. Dev can just set a later date for release so it doesn't show up instantly after approval. Once approved, they can hit the release switch manually whenever they want and release it worldwide simultaneously.
I remember that happening before, can't remember which game it was though. That was annoying, I woke up, ready to download, and it wasn't available. It's possible, and quite possibly what's happening if it's not out in NZ yet.
I believe it is possible. I'm sure there was a game a while back which was released like that. Can't remember the name though...
Which Rockstar studio are releasing the game? Depending on where that studio is, will prob depend on which midnight timezone they will release in. That Sucks for New Zeland type people, but ohh well!
So is it possible that us guys in the UK might be able to get it before 12.00 tonight? If Rockstar release the game worldwide sometime today, then it will go live in the UK app store the same time right?
There are many many hundreds of games that get released simultaneously worldwide. Just some devs choose to release on a set date
Anyone looked at or asked their twitter site where their initial announcement of the release was made?
I'm in new York and it's the 14th here, and for some, it's the 15th already (New Zealand) people were expecting its release so that's why we're questioning it
I heard this will be out worldwide release like DZLS and as not out as yet NZ probably right and should hit these times if same as DZLS 6AM NZ,5PM UK,3AM AUS,9AM L.A,6AM N.Y,MIDNIGHT HONG KONG/CHINA I could be well wrong though
On their Twitter, it does say Thursday to be exact, so I'm guessing they'll "flick the switch" tomorrow.
