I didn't see anything related to it, but it was a demo version so it's possible it just wasn't included. I also didn't go through the menus on my own. The attendent ser everything up. There could have been something related to game center which I didn't see.
WoW after this iOS open world games will change...A LOT.Gameloft will need to make much better games cause Gangstar Rio doesnt seems to be not even the 1% as good as GTA3.They only reason it wont get so popular in the beginning is because in the start it will only support iPad 2 and iPhone 4S...After the release on iPhone/iPod touch 4 and iPad 1 it will get much more popular
The last thing we need is two companies trying to release essentially the same game. There is plenty of room for Rockstar to focus on graphically intensive, large depth, multi-year development, high priced games and Gameloft to focus on yearly releases of games with a tighter scope that have broader device support and are priced cheaper. I think we as customers get more and better (or at least different) content this way.
I think GTA 3 is better because it's more immersive. The top-down view and cel-shaded graphics in Chinatown Wars kind of took away from the experience a bit. I felt like I was playing a GTA game, but I wasn't living in the world. But the core gameplay is pretty much the same. There's tons of stuff to do in both games. I'll miss the drug dealing part from Chinatown Wars and wish they would implement it in the next GTA (which I hope is announced soon). Chinatown Wars also has some of the improvements from later GTA games, like swimming, jumping walls, buying property, and GPS. GTA 3 might actually feel backwards to those who never played it. But it still wins because of the immersion factor. Rockstar is amazing at blending atmosphere and social commentary. The attention to detail makes GTA what it is. Vice City is still my favorite for that reason. It totally nailed the 80s.
I didn't like Chinatown Wars that much, doesn't feel like the other GTA games. Gameloft is dead if Rockstar makes this awesome(which they will).
I dunno, I don't see them as the same genre. CTW is closer to the original GTA and GTA2. I'm not sure how good GTA 3 is after all these years, they'll have to make a lot of improvements if they want me to forget I've already played Vice City, San Andreas and GTA IV...
I think I saw a GPS in the top left corner of the iPad video. Perhaps they added it for ease of playing.
Ever play GTA 3 before? That is the radar and it's always been there. And indeed, the GTA 3 Liberty City is easy to memorize anyway.
What for the price of GTA 3 on iOS?I would suggest a suitable price $10-$20 at the minimum, but I know this will end up being less than $10.
Wow I seriously hope they consider bringing it out for I Pod Touch 4. As I have one, my mum has an ipad 2, but she does not like it when she sees the rest of the family on it.
Am I the only one that looks at the videos released and sees a really sad version of GTA3? I might be remembering it with rose colored glasses, but that city looks BARE! For an ipad2/iphone 4S exclusive I was hoping for a city that felt more alive :/
Well on an emulator perspective to PC games. If you play an emulator on pc, Your PC has to greatly EXCEED the processing/graphical Capacity of the System you are emulating, Otherwise you WILL experience Lag. And I'm talking about My Older Quad Core, 1G graphics card, Maxed out Top of the line ram. And Playing Gcube/N64/Ds games Lag Me at times, And sometimes PSX games. Its because there are so many programs running in the background that I don't turn off. So just because The Iphone can exceed the capabilities of a PS2. Its still a computer with a lot of background applications running. Meaning A5's can possibly handle that. And asking for more is just reducing the game, and creating much more work to reduce the games overall appeal for lower end devices.
