iPad Grand Prix Story - (by Kairosoft)

I bought this to support more Kairosoft releases but I really don't appreciate them always locking the "Fast" feature until you finish a playthrough. With zero interaction during a race the game gets really boring. At least during Mega Mall I can upgrade build...basically anything WHILE people are shopping. I can literally do NOTHING during a race. Horrible.

 

I was able to get the paint guy and am pretty happy with that but is there a custom body shop type thing where you change rims, paint on decals, add numbers etc?

 

I have the same problem and no my device (iPod Touch 2G) is not jailbroken.

 

This game is pure awesomeness!

But I'm currently stuck at Formula no. one...

No matter how I tweak my spiral cars I just can't seem to compete with the AI.

(By the way, the sonic car pretty much dominated the previous Formula)

another question is.. does anyone know how to make a competitive off-road card??? I keep trying to race on the off-road courses with the stupid buggy.. but it's simply not advanced enough.

P.S. My team 2 driver is Maria Sharp.... no, unfortunately not Sharapova. But they look alike anyway

This is probably the best game from Kairosoft i've played so far

 

I'm looking for a good off-road car set up too if anyone has any pointers?

I've tried running on the off-road tires in various combinations but I still finish last..

 

I've found the solution.

You need to upgrade the Buggy to 55% to get higher class of off-road cars. Think this logic applies to any series in the game.

 

Actually, I think I've just cracked it.... I was given a 4x4 chassis blueprint for completing one of the sponsors (Pear Inc I think) and after developing a new Aero car with that on, it flew round the off-road courses!

Edit: Doesn't really work on ice though, I've found... Not without the tire chains anyway

 

2nd Gen. Completely legit copy, never jailbroken.
Mine also flashes heavily when you're on the training screen.

Guys I have a question. What tech level is ideal to beat F1 Grand Prix? Assuming I'm using a Super Car. I'm trying to find an efficient way to grind for Gold Auras.

 

I cant beat egypt gp. Its so hard i got the off road wheels but i unlocked super car but my team fails on it altough they are all lvled up to lvl 5

I guess I'm glad that my iPod Touch is not breaking on me and that it is a common problem. I know Kairosoft has never released a patch or update for their games, but I was wondering if they were planning on fixing this problem.

 

Kairosoft update their games.Hope this issue with flickering and rendering will be fixed soon.

 

I think the only game they ever updated was Game Dev Story, but I guess there really is no need to update a game unless there is a glaring problem such as this one.

 

I think fixing the current issue is a must.

 

It sounds like it is a 2nd generation device problem. Would I be okay to buy this to put on my 4g iPod?

 

Yeah, I am sure that the 4th gen iPod will be okay. Other people have been playing it with no complaints.

I just hope the fix comes soon because I am kinda hesitant to keep playing because of the flickering issue.

 

I have this running on my 4g iPod on 4.3.3

 

I've got a SuperCar Formula 1 circuit, with Slick Tires, SuperBoost, V12 Engine, and SmlGear. Slick Tires and V12, both upgraded, made a huge difference.

ProtoCar with Knobby Tires, V12 Engine, and SuperBoost did really well for F1 Offroad. ProtoCar with Stdls Tires, V12 Engine, and SuperBoost does well for the F1 Ice Track. Both end up anywhere from 1~3 ranking.

 

I love anything buy Kairosoft! Looks like fun!
