Aw nuts. Like all Kairosoft games, I caved and picked it up. It will be interesting to see how many hours I can milk out of this one.
Is it just me or is there a problem with the game? Whenever I look at the training menu and the picture of the team, it is constantly flashing and it is kinda giving me a headache. I am thinking about reinstalling if I know that will fix the problem, but I don't want to delete my saved data. I was just curious if anyone else encountered this problem
No, my device is not jailbroken and I have a legit copy and bought it off the app store like a regular customer. I encountered a problem in Mega Mall Story where the CD Store was just a blank white storefront, but that was only a minor disurbance compared to this one. I also use a 2nd gen iPod Touch.
2nd Gens have rendering problems with textures so that might be why.... Other than that has your device ever "been" Jailbroken?
Yet another winner from Kairosoft. I must admit after really getting into Game Dev Story and then trying out Hot Springs Story I didn't find as much enjoyment out of Hot Springs. I skipped the next two (Pocket Academy and Mega Mall) mainly for fear of getting addicted but their themes also just didn't appeal to me as much. I've only played Grand Prix Story for about 45 minutes so far but it is amazingly fun as anyone who's played Game Dev Story would figure. Kairosoft's formula for management/sim games never seems to get old. It's probably too early for me to make a judgement yet but I'm actually starting to think that I *might* like this more than even Game Dev Story in several ways. Maybe it is because I find myself getting a little more attached to my cars and the ability to use them in multiple races is great (versus just releasing a game in Game Dev Story and seeing how much money you make a single time). Also although the races are not at all interactive it is very entertaining and exciting to watch your little race car drive around the track. Definitely enjoying this a lot more than Hot Springs Story - not that Hot Springs is a bad game. Good job again Kairosoft!
Nope, my device has never been jailbroken and it is such a shame if I can't play GPS. I love Kairosoft and have been looking forward to this game so much. And I guess the problem isn't gamebreaking...it just gives me a headache if I stare at it too long. I must wait just a little bit longer for an iPhone 5
Alright, I guess I'll give in and grab this since so many are comparing the menu driven gameplay to GDS.
I use a Jailbroken device and have played through this and every other Kairosoft release including the Japanese ones without a single problem so I doubt it would have anything to do with that. I suspect it's something to do with your device being a 2g since i've played it on a 3g and 4g with no problems at all
Yeah, that's what I was suspecting, but I wanted to get a 2nd opinion from another 2nd gen user if they encountered the same problem. I guess they're pretty rare and they would have complained by now. I have reinstalled it a few times too, but no luck.
oh dear...picked this up this morning.... Lets just say not a lot of work done today, unless setting up a race team and managing it counts! Game is excellent!!
quite agrees with that but just those few days of 100% playing makes it worthwhile and i just reinstalled game dev and had that feeling again so bought and playing !
probably a stupid question, how do I change vehicles? I have the roadster and the buggy, but I can't seem to see where to select the buggy to race...I have upgraded the buggy and added parts, but I only seem to get the roadster for racing... Thanks
Before you enter a race, a small window pops up showing the vehicle and driver, just tap on the vehicle name and the option to change it appears.
