You have points. Spelling errors, and capslocks, but points nonetheless ;-) I really don't think forums are the proper medium to self affirm one's maturity. The complete opposite rather. That's how internet memes such as 1337, w00t, and h4x0rs were created. Forums are more of a social mask that reciprocates one's inability to argue or debate in true form--actually talking with someone back and forth with NO interruptions or time to meditate on a response. I have been on message forums for years and I have seen exactly how certain attitudes form and digress. When I was a teenager I definitely felt an urge to respond wildly to threads/posts I found irrational or senseless... but for what? These forums are mostly entertainment for me. I don't participate in flame wars, because it is retarded (take that however you like). I just kind of instigate to see how far one will go to embarrass themselves and I have seen some prestigious whiners here. It's adorable. Message forums in this context (on the subject of gaming and virtual politics) are a source for being heard in a community where there is no sound... All in all, posting on message forums to rant about internet/game politics is just a waste of time, but a ton of entertainment for others. 0:-D I choose to act different in different situations, and I do participate in the "smile, nod, and mock subtly" mentality. I am not affected by accusations towards me. I do not need to act "professionally" to where I am say Please Thank you and "We appreciate your feedback". Why should I? Oh right... I'm an "admin"? I'd rather be an example of how real people would act in a situation where someone is troubled by an imaginary world, by saying "Dude it's not a big deal. Make the hat from the side-view be circular to make the headphones look more realistic? Well, I dont know if I'm explaining it right but basically the half circle looks weird when you turn on your side O;!
