where would i type that in lol im a complete scripting noob. and fuzzy ty for the offer but for the LATing i dont need any help i just need to know image names and scripting help for the most part. i think this could turn into some of my best work.
voila almost finished product of my nexus room i just need lights and darkness. EDIT: i made it dark! now i just need those little nexus revolution lights and im good to go
There's enough stages in the Nexus I think, unless I'm thinking about Revolution. zilla, that's good for maybe a kitchen area or something, relaxation. I like it. But you need to add more details to the flooring instead of just poca-dots of different tiles. I want to help you. Or il make my own level..
Here's my level. It's not exactly for Nexus's contest, but look at it's floor design. I think it's a little too messy, but you need to try stuff like that. Zilla, for doing windows inside levels, look at my example. Don't put outside (grass windows) infront of the level, because there isn't grass in a building.
i have two bars i was considering it but it needed more sitting areas sdo i just did those. the tiling is supposed to be simple for the most part. im not making some big extravagant thing its supposed to be simple. that design isnt nexus style at all. the level is supposed to fit into nexus which that wouldnt. its too woody nexus is a party place meaning actual inside tiles. my tiling in the level is fine i just need the lights. as for the windows yeah i looked at that too and was deciding whether or not ill change it. i probably will since it makes sense to the level.
"Here's my level. It's not exactly for Nexus's contest, but look at it's floor design. I think it's a little too messy, but you need to try stuff like that." Read what I said. I never made it for the Nexus level contest.
well your telling me to do stuff for my nexus level that doesnt go with nexus >.> nexus should have a clean look thats why i didnt make it messy.
I've seen far worse in the way of player-made graphics, but it is indeed in need of some correction. My first impression was that it feels like an hispanic ghetto (not sure what you're aiming for). In any regard, here are some things you could improve upon over time: Windows: - The top of windows do not run into the roof of buildings. - The top highlight on the window is far too bright. - The bottom of the window seems to bleed into the building. Doors: - Outline around the door just needs redone. The sharp darkness serves to confuse the eye when looking at a building. - Hardware on the door looks like specs. Trees: - Outline makes them appear "pasted" into the level. Sidewalks: - Too much of a gradient appearance overall. Lamppost: - It is MASSIVE, and sort-of flat looking. Street: - The way you've done your street lines would normally be indicative of either a non-highway road with a minimum of 45mph, or, one-way urban roads. This isn't as much a criticism as it is me wondering which of the two you're aiming for. Critique-wise, your road lines are disproportionately thick. Other General Issues: - You are using multiple light sources in your objects which detract from visual cohesion. - Objects appear disproportionate in general.
heres a halfway-finished tileset for my server revernia. i still have to add bathroom tiles and fancy dining room tiles a(also now a new church thing which will serve as the outside of the mansion) but here it is so far. if you see some stuff that you think should be npcs instead i probably thought of that already and they proably will be npcs when i actually buy the server and can start lating since you cant use custom tilesets on the offline editor.
where do i email my nexus level and what do i make the subject? i lost my ipod today so i dont know that stuff.
Actually, that was from graal online forums where pimp posted this and pimp took it as good critisism... And id say your post was pretty 'mean' too kite, because you stated that i couldn't do beter. ("...you couldn't do better dont't be so mean")
There is often talk about scripting or the desire to learn to script here so I figure I'll post here. A few of you may have been to my scripting website before. It is a shameful place with horrid coding which makes me cry. The good news is that I will be redoing it which means I'll expand what's currently there (needs a good rewording + reordering) as well as provide new content on a code base that doesn't cause spontaneous combustion of the eye. (it's terrible!) I may also go against my inner desires and work some GS1 tutorials for those who currently develop purely in Level Editor (I may actually need help there as I really don't know any GS1 ). For those who care less about scripting compared to actual output, I currently have a few projects for the iPhone server. One should be completed very soon and I think you'll like the (lack of a) price. The other will take a little while longer but should be very promising. Beyond these two, I have my longer term projects I'll continue to work on for the greater good of the iPhone server Please note that I take blueberry muffins as a form of encouragement
