I know runescape and trust me this isnt it. This is just quests in general all quests are talk to npc who gives you a task when you finish you get a item, exp, armor, etc. Also the egg and steel bar are common items (rusty sword is runescape though)
in the first idea i dont rly see how the priest and the treasure go with eachother. i would do this: you talk to the bartender of the bar outside place in north graal and he tells you about the treasure. he tells you that his friend sells shovels that you could use to look for it and that they sell them at the graal city weapon store. then you go to the back and talk to the guy in the back. he tells you that hed love to sell you a shovel but a group of baddys has stolen it, and that theyre hiding in a cave sort of in the beginning of master lis woods its hard to descride the spot but anyway you go in, there are a bunch of baddies you kill them and you get a shovel. you then go to the cave in north graal talk to sol dynasty and he gives you a little riddle saying like take four steps to the left from the top right lantern. then two steps down and one to the right. then once your there you dig and you find a treasure consisting of 3000 gralats. and id change the hammer one around a bit too. i think its a nice start with the book and to lead you to the black smith, but i would then have him tell you that the hammer costs 100000 gralats. then you of course will say to him what?!! thats too much! then he tells you that hell give it to you for free if you help his buddy in swamptown. then you go to the bar in swamptown where the bartender says that the baddys have been scaring away his customers latly. he tells you to go kill 20 baddys and come back to him. once you kill 20 baddies he thanks you sends a note to the black smith and he gives you the hammer. then you go to the bank and talk to the teller. the teller says to you that all the moneys gone blah blah blah and that they believe that the baddys have taken it to thier hideout in swamptown. so you go there hammer down all the pegs to that little hut place go in and theres a cave of baddys and such. you get the money go back to the bank and the teller gives you 5000 gralats for your troubles. and you can go to stefans house hammer the pegs and theres a chest with 1000 gralats in it. another cool one would be a folow up to the rat quest where you go into the angle clan and you see a small hole in the wall. you go in as a rat there are a few baddys there you must kill then there are chests with 2000 gralats. the gravedigger quest sounds cool too as a folow up but as a reward id have the priest bless you with more health.
I love the idea of actual quest lines coming into the game. It's something I loved about the original online PC version of Graal was that their were quests, and things that would cause you to explore the world. The only thing that makes people explore the world of Graal nowadays is the promise of finding an admin somewhere will get you a new Dinosaur bone helm, lol. It would also attract a different type of player to the game, and be helpful in retaining players who are getting bored of the non-stop PvP element.
The hammer as it exists on the iPhone server? I don't know, honestly I haven't seen it since I was around back in December, and back then it was really just an animation. So I don't know how it acts here. But like I said, it was the most annoying thing on the original Classic server, mainly because it "flattened" you, slowed you, made it so you had to press the swing button many times to get back up, only to be flattened again before you could react. It was so very annoying back then... However the burying thing? That was an old Classic event to! Was pretty fun, the GCs (Game Coordinators, the events team.) would place treasure chests around a level that only THEY could see, the players would then be let in and dig up the level until they are all found. Was even more fun when "springs" were added that ejected players from the level if they dug into one. Well, I purposely skipped over the horse part of the original question because I wasn't sure if it was known stuff or not, or supposed to be confirmed by staff. (I'd rather avoid any conflicts with the Devs developing this stuff, so I don't like to acknowledge/deny anything that I'm not sure i'm allowed to.) But I guess bomber already covered this one. EDIT: Strange how I comment about strategically skipping something over, then skipped over something important to answer. Xor is usually always working on something, but he checks email CONSTANTLY. But, i've seen the email account for Classic and...wow. It's packed, constantly, like busting the storage limits packed. But everyone's working on it, chipping away at it, and gradually catching us back up. It's tough work! (And that's not sarcasm.)
Lolz "Steel Bar" "Spider Eggs" RUNESCAPE!!!! <333333 Can anyone tell me if SOS has reached 1k? And if they have what is their hat?
There should be mines somewhere near snowtown where there should be a quest where you get a free mining axe. Ok, so the Graalian Mining co. have been getting less and less metals from the rocks lately and the miners coming back are usuelly scratched and talk of a "large, invincible winged beast with claws and pointy teeth." So the owner if the Graalian Mining co. asks you to investigate the odd occurances. You first enter the mines and a swarm of bats attack you (around 5, and they all have .5 health). So then later after wandering around the large mine you find a crack in the walls, you use a bomb to blow a hole in it and you find a large passage riddled with bones and skulls of various animals. At the end you find a giant bat. You have to attack it with your sword so it will fly up to dodge it, so you can bomb a wall to shake the room so a rock will fall of the bat so you can hit the head. You do this three times before you defeat it and drops a heart. Then it flys away and breaks a wall to a bunch if cliffs that leads down into the building where you got the quest. You talk to the Mining owner again and he rewards you with 2000 gralats, a mining hat and a mining ace that you can use to mine for metal to sell to him. The end.
lmao i said that to get post 13000 rofl... anyways... err boredness... and stuff but ah whats up everyone?
The hammer is already scripted and made to take down pegs, it is in the editor as a weapon you can place down, put in a chest, or script a npc to give it. I have experience with the graal editor and making simple gfx like swords shields, and basic objects. I'm not the best at making fancy furniture. The thing is that most of the stuff needed for the quests already exists, they just need to be scripted. and the only thing that has to be made for both of them is the graveyard for the shovel quest, and the cave for the hammer quest. That's where I got the idea lol. They aren't going to do any of that. Giving 25,000+ gralats for doing simple quests? They might as well give the customization and house packs for free at that point, which they would never do. You sound greedy. And instead of finding ingredents in the hammer quest, this quest would tie in so you would have to mine ore instead!
haha id love to be able to flatten people but yeah your probably right it would get rly annoying when some jerk just keeps folowing you and flatening you. and that burrying event does sound really fun especially the spring part thatd be awesome. it sounds like a cool quest but it seems kinda easy for a reward of a heart. i think a pick axe mining hat and 2000 gralats is a sufficient reward for that. this games econamy makes it so that 2000 gralats isnt all that much. if you want a really really cool house or guild house itll cost you over 50k. plus hats are super expensive stuff from tays etc etc. so how is that greedy in any way shape or form? the easiest one is the one in stefans house for sure but thats more of an easter egg like a little extra money for the people who have thier hammer and think to go there. same with the mouse if someone sees the little hole thinks to go in as a mouse then kill a few baddies its not so much of a quest as it is a secret. plus the quests arent easy.
Hmmmmm Can anybody tell me if o0n PC Graal Classic the npc people names who are involved in the quest are different colors?
Hmm, nope can't say that I remember. But, I would like to give an open invitation to have some people come check out my new guild house design in the game. I just finished furnishing the place, and I would like to get some feedback from people in the game. Just send me a PM when I'm online, and I'll be glad to give you a tour of the new YoggSaron guild quarters. I promise you won't be disapointed! Anyway, check you later guys.
