It's not exactly your place to say when you should be jailed. Their game. They can jail for what they want. And jeez why am I such an idiot? Once again my stupidity to not be able to keep my mouth shut messes up everything for everyone in the end. Don't expect me me to explain this. A few of u know probly and the rest of you agree I'm an idiot. I feel like such a bitch ;(
I completly agree with your list, Bart, other than the rioters part. Peaceful riots are OK, but having laterns on like they almost always do should get them jailed :/ They are purposly causing lag.
Oh yeah I forgot to add that part lol. I guess I never really noticed it due to the supreme power of the iPad. I do remember playing my itouch when snowtown opened though. I would move maybe half a step and the game would crash. Had to keep doing that until I finally reached the staircase, where the lag toned down a bit. Do you guys still crash like that when new updates have been added or when the revolution is opening? Or is the opening of snowtown the worst lag area in history.
Opening of snowtown 100 % was worst lag EVER. I went there... I could move about half a step per minute, then I would crash. For the first ten minutes I tryed opening menu and entering GH then unsticking, but after that I found it easier just to move off to the left where there wasn't as much lag I remember I even got a head start on everyone else because SA had tower and I was pming one of their leaders and he pmed me "Oh wow! Snowtown is open!" Then three minutes later the admin announced it. I really guess I did like Slim, but I remember that their guild name appeared right next to Sardons half an hour before Snowton opened. I was asking a few guild members about why they thought that was their. Then once Snowtown opened I understood what happened. I also asked some SS members and they told me the same thing too. He warped all SS members to Snowtown half an hour before and then took Snowtown tower before it was opened :/ NUB! Luckly a Nightmare member took it from SS as soon as he got in
Nope. Opening ofthe forest in Onnet town was worst. Period.30 mins straight of not moving a pixel and the home screen button not even responding. I get shivers thinking about it.
Really? I was offline at that point :/ But people didn't know anything about the forset, so less would come right away to check it out. But Snowtown had been advertised by admins for months, so probably more people came to snowtown. Also, there were probably more people on at the time of Snowtown opening since everyday more and more people join and Snowtown came after forest... Oh well lolz I actually almost never lag on my ipod
Hm. I should probably unofficially answer this one. (Yes, unofficially. As this is MY opinion and not those of the rest of the admins, But I believe I'm pretty fair about it, as i've had years of experience in "moderating" Graal.) -Pulling pranks Pranks in general are a tough call, as some players find it funny, others usually find it annoying and a grievance. (Such as people trapping new players, it's getting old.) and quite a few people reporting problems are met with the excuse "It was just a joke!", when it usually involved something from the "understood" jailing list in your post. As for what EvilNoob did, many times players were told to STOP pointing that glitch out. As it was causing some lag/crashing issues in some players passing through it. I watched that area myself for awhile, and gave several warnings. But keep in mind, if a GP tells you to stop, you leave, and come back to do it when you think we aren't around. We WILL be mad. (Also, we are always around.) -Bad language in private This is a touchy subject, personally i'm pretty lenient on it. But please, be sure to keep it to your own home, to people you know very well. Try not to get a guild involved, as someone in it may be offended. However, we'd encourage you to just avoid the rude language altogether. (And severe vulgarity/harassment/racism is always a NO. Not even in private.) -Discussing hacks Sorry, but this is an absolute NO. It's not only obvious that we strongly dislike hackers, and strongly discourage even ATTEMPTING it, but we don't want people telling others how to do certain things. Do not do it. We have absolutely NO leniency towards this. And if we see anyone actually attempting the hacks, it's an immediate ban. -Expressing opinions about Graal and it's staff This is another touchy subject honestly, because alot of players tend to get quite vulgar or go too far with this. If you have a complaint, that's fine. We'd like to hear them. But please, if you dislike an admin. Don't harass us, don't spout stuff about how we are or anything we're involved in is terrible. Alot of people take this to an extreme, and usually end up getting jailed for racism/extreme vulgarity. Then start complaining about not being able to express it as their opinion. People like to play the victim in this one, as i've noticed countless times, it tends to go something like this: Player: That admin sucks! Admin: Player: You do! Admin: k Player: <string of vulgarity, racism, or just blatant harassment directed towards Admin> Admin: <Jails player for the racism/swearing/harassment> Player: OMG ADMIN JAILED ME FOR NOT LIKING HIM, I DIDNT EVEN DO ANYTHING WAS JUST TELLING THE TRUTH OMG -Riots and protests This would be sort of a mean thing for us to jail for, in itself. However, protests like lighting lamps and gathering with an intent to lag out and crash clients? That sort of falls under the "glitching" or "harassment" type of jailing. Rather then protesting. Here's an idea, as an old longtime player of the original Classic, they used to have alot of protests that were quite simple, and even effective! Instead of trying to be as obnoxious as possible, everyone generally grabbed a sign. Gathered up in a no-pk zone, and voiced their opinions overhead. More people see this, and repeat. Or, too a much lesser extent. Use the feedback option, we do read them quite often. But just like the "expressing opinions" explanation earlier, going overboard will get you jailed. And for the last topic, warning players. I do this quite often. But my warnings are usually ignored here, i've noticed. I'll tell players to stop what they're doing. Then continue my patrol. Come back and few minutes later, and that player is doing it again. That sort of ticks me off. If you're told to stop doing something, theres a reason for it. The concept of "is jailing this person necessary?" also works both ways, as troublesome players should often thing "is this worth getting jailed for?". I think that covers it, and killed a few minutes on my download. (Go faster, aghhhh) But again, this is MY personal opinion. Not an official response. But i'd like to think it's pretty fair, and pretty descriptive as to how we handle some issues here.
I think to stop riots from using lanturns to crash, lag and generally overload an iPhone's client, is that lamps can't be used as an item and will automatically be used when you enter the snowtown cave. Problem solved.
Hey me and iGGY were talking and he said that Journeys hat she made for him might not be accepted due to copyright. I really don't understand this. Why would using a link hat count? Graal already copied MP with the new Pirate Hat. really wish I could find iPod -.-
I was first group so nobody had told me anything at that point. After i got out of jail i didn't come back and do it again (but i did warn the people still doing it that they would get jailed and to stop). Then i think i saw you (maybe another admin) come and give some people a warning about it (which i appreciate since some admins just jail for no reason for dumb reasons without even a warning)
\ yeah snowtown was terrible. and stuff like that makes me happy slim was fired. honestly there must of been like 500 admins on patrol up there how did none of em see this? luckily i wasnt there when it opened aah this is why i like darkus. although your protest thing doesnt really work. we tried that a guy named higbey made a sign saying lower the prices of hats, then gave it out to a buncha people started to talk about how they should lower the prices. how did the admins respond? they banned the shield they ran around telling ppl to stop, and looked for the tiniest reasons to jail ppl. and maybe u guys should be a little easier on the glitchers. i mean all they are are curious about whats off map. i mean yeah i have a past for glitching but i dont do it to be like haha in your face admins i do it to see new areas. my friend once showed me this little island called lands end. i like it there it was cut off from the rest of graal so i could just go there when i wanted to be alone and just chill out for a bit. you cant chill too much when theres a chance of being banned. also it should depend on what the bad language is...like if u say something like this is fking awesome then u shouldnt be jailed but if u say something like fk u u should be jailed. what im saying is when its directed at someone its not okay but if ur just saying it in general as a word then it should be aloud.
