Hey all I'm looking for a decent guild to join Most of you know me so you know I'm not a noob I have like 180 hours... 996 kills and 274 baddie kills. I've made some shields... Touch him, then click report, then there's a button "Block". Touching it will block all incoming chat and personal messages by this person. The button turns into "Unblock", so you are also able to undo this if you wanna talk to the person ;-)
It's really good. I like the concept of a bush shield, but this spartan shield is good as it is, even without shading or updated color.
My version of the Spartan shield. I noticed how Sam didn't really focus on the values all around it, unless she wasn't going for a replica of the exact image. I like how she did do the upper values and the highlights. Very good. I focused more on the warm orange textile, making mine appear more gritty, warm, and dark. Basically- Sam's: Brilliant, Golden, Clean Look Mine: Grungy, Dark, Warm Look Either way, I'd say she beat me at the highlighting, and since this was my first actual pixel-by-pixel shading work, I'd say I did alright. EDIT: I also realized hers would work better in game, due to how mine is sort of TOO detailed at points.
How is it pixel by pixel shading work? And yeah the reason why I didn't replicate it was because the light source differences and it wouldn't fit in graal. I like the end result! And I need some help again with finding the right pallette for all values. And by pixel and pixel i just took the pencil tool, and just made it a bit brighter, some areas being too-done and looking pillowy, so I don't really like that part. And Sam, do you have an AIM? Just want a quicker way to contact you and chat about whatever like we do sometimes
Nope no aim. But you should try some real pixel art. It's a hard start but it comes out better in the end. Look, this was made with paint only using 15 different shades. Those shields look fantastic You're making every other shield creator, (Myself included) look like an ameteur
