There's a lot of things that are really awesome about the Nexus One. Unfortunately, until their Android app store consists of more than tip calculators and match 3's, I have a hard time getting that excited for it.

With any luck, Apple will take the cool things about the Nexus One and integrate them in to iPhone OS 4.0 and/or the 4th generation iPhone.

I am, actually. It looks and sounds good, and hopefully the Android Market will grow as big as the AppStore (highly undoubtful).

I was actually watching this even live, video streaming it, and it was a blast.

I'm excited bc it means that to keep up with google the next iPhone will have to fulfill most of my wishlist.

We don't mind if the phone has to be huge to support the large battery needed to power all of this, but please incorporate...

    1080p Video Recording

5.0 Megapixel Camera with FLASH and a much much bigger lens so that it actually takes decent photos even in very low light situations

Backlit OLED Screen with 720 x 480 Resolution

The 9th Gen VX Dual Core 2.0 Ghz HD Capable Processor

    4G Capable

    1 Ghz of Ram

HD Antenna and TV Tuner (There are constantly hd tv signals being broadcast by ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox. Why not let us tap into those signals so that we can what hdtv on our phones wherever we are)

HD Radio Tuner & FM Transmitter

HDMI TV Out/Projector Out So We Can Run High Res Movies & Slideshows Stored on Our Phone on our HDTVs.

Wifi N with the new directshare/stream feature

    Bluetooth 3.0

Please let me share/stream my documents, music and videos on my PC to my iPhone via Bluetooth or wifi so I can watch them anywhere via the iPhone

    64 GB

A Low Reflective Screen Mode For When You Wish To Read Ebooks On The iPhone

Not as much real estate wasted on the front of the phone as current iPhones (The black part on the top and bottom of the iphone need to be much smaller, basically, almost all of the front of the phone should be the screen) It's ugly how much space/real estate is wasted on the current design of the front of the iPhone

Front facing camera so that we could make videocalls, atleast while connected to Wifi N

    iChat Support

Flash Support (I want to access hulu from my iphone damn it!)

RFID Chip & IR Chip (So that you can use it as a universal remote)

    Removable/Replacable Battery

Over the air sync with Macs, Apple TV, PC Servers etc, so that we can stream HD Videos off of our PCs to our iPhones anytime we have WiFi Access, and Can Even Stream HD Content from Our Phones to our HDTVs

Touch-sensitive places at all corners (at left and right of home button and top right and top left) (so you can use an app without blocking your view with your hands and it would be a great improvement like 'scrolling' or something like that) with easy turn on and off like double tap in corners at the same time (you won't have an 'accident double tap at two corners at the same time

Louder Dual Speakers (I'm sick of accidently covering up the speaker while playing games)

A sexy new design that is thicker so that it can house a much larger battery and provide a much longer battery life.

A sexy looking gamepad addon that adds dual analog sticks and dual triggers to the iPhone isn't limited to strictly casual games but is capable of making fun genres like shooters, driving simulations and what not.

This is what the goal should be for the 4G. Please make as much of the above a reality as is humanly possible Apple.

No multi touch. That was more than enough to make me stop checking Nexus one. And in any case, I doubt I`ll ever buy any mobile, notebook, Mp3 player which doesnt have Apple logo. More than happy with my MB, iPhone, iPod to ever consider anything else ;)

Yeah. No multi-touch equals awkward gaming.

Because it's been rumored andnbc it's useful.

"Credit card companies are now looking for payment solutions for adding contactless payment cards to any mobile phone. A carrier solution that satisfied the industry's needs is now available. After activation, it can be used as an RFID-capable MasterCard credit card.

Credit card information can be stored, and bank accounts can be directly accessed using the enabled handset. The phone, if used as a vector for mobile payment, has added security in that users would be required to enter a passcode or PIN before payment is authorized.

RFID is being used for E - Tolling in Motorways. FID tags are used for electronic toll collection at toll booths with Georgia's Cruise Card, California's FasTrak, Colorado's E-470, Illinois' I-Pass, Oklahoma's Pikepass, the expanding eastern states' E-ZPass system (including Massachusetts's Fast Lane,Delaware, New Hampshire Turnpike, Maryland, New Jersey Turnpike, Pennsylvania Turnpike, West Virginia Turnpike, New York's Thruway system, Virginia, and the Maine Turnpike),Central Florida also utilizes this technology, via its E-PASS System. E-PASS and Sunpass are mutually compatible.

RFID is used in many citys public transport systems instead of paycards.

The first RFID passports ("E-passport") were issued by Malaysia in 1998. In addition to information also contained on the visual data page of the passport, Malaysian e-passports record the travel history (time, date, and place) of entries and exits from the country.

NADRA has developed an RFID-based driver license that bears the license holder's personal information and stores data regarding traffic violations, tickets issued, and outstanding penalties.

The Zipcar car-sharing service uses RFID cards for locking and unlocking cars and for member identification

I know what an arphid is, thank you very much. People blindly accept the fact that RFID chips are 'useful' and 'convenient' without knowing what a huge privacy loss it is. Everywhere you go, you're tracked. Do you know how incredibly easy it is to extract data from them? Arphid cloners are everywhere now.

My friend had just picked up a Nexus One phone today. It's a very good phone, however, it's definitely not a gaming platform.

Nexus one is better than iphone .It provides the ability to type a period without going to another screen.I know the iPhone can do this automatically, but only at the end of sentences.but in nexus it is also for email addresses and links.Reasonable way to install beta versions of applications as opposed to the UDID iPhone insanity.

I would if the iphone never existed, but would this phone (or the android) even exist if it weren't for the iphone?

Was the iPhone the first cell phone to have a capacitive display? I looked around online but didn't really come up with anything definitive.

If it was, then I would say no, the Nexus One wouldn't exist in its' current form if not for the iPhone. It'd most likely be another incarnation of a Pocket PC phone, using a stylus to navigate a clunky interface. I doubt that the Android platform would even exist if not for the iPhone since its' interface navigation is all based on actual finger touches. Just my opinion though.
