Apparently, due to China's strict censorship rules, Google is threatening to end operations in the country. And they're not leaving without a bang: Here's a link to a Chinese blog post. Apparently, Google's playing some tricks on the Chinese government. Here's some of the funnier ones:

The symbol typed in means "China". The first result: Destruction of the Chinese Communist Party.

Type in the letter "f" in Google China, and the first result is "free tibet".

The second, third, and last results for typing in "chinese" makes this one pretty self-explanatory.

I found the story on this forum. Only Google, eh?

NOTE: These results only come up on China's Google page.

    Lol...

This is why I wouldn't mind if Google achieved World Domination...

At least they have a sense of humor *cough* Microsoft *cough*!

    Hi,

The reason Google is complaining about China's strict censorship rules is just one of money.

Not saying China is right in their policies but Google trying to be moral when it is really just one of money is laughable.

Ah. Well, NYTimes didn't tell me that.

Still, it's funny how they'll do something like this to get back at a country, even when it's only a monetary issue.

It may just be money to Google, but at least their quest for money is (sort of) helping towards a good cause :)

Haha, yeah, it definitely made my day.

Also, if you type in "french military victories" and click "I'm Feeling Lucky", it'll bring up a page that says "Did you Mean: french military defeats No results were found for your search: 'french military victories'". And if you click on the "french military defeats", a pretty funny (however, not completely true) summary of France's losses in war comes up.

That one made me laugh as well.

Yes, I'm a Communist. Well, technically I am. I don't believe in Communism, but I'm Chinese, and have a shitload of pride in my country. All of you who think this is funny have some serious problems. What if this happened with Google in the USA? Would you want people laughing their asses off at your country? Think before you say something.

    But... it is funny.

If it happened with Google in the USA, we would simply switch to another search engine.

China only has the government one as their other option. :p

    You're a communist? FAIL.
