Google+ appears to be Google's answer to Facebook. It is in invite only beta right now so somebody invite me, please. :)

It actually looks pretty cool. I like some of the features it has. It definitely won't overtake Facebook, but let's hope it's more successful than Google Buzz.

All I want is your bodily fluids and you never can share those with me. With Google+, now we can!

    SPECTACULAR!

I feel like I've neglected to read a EULA somewhere.

Ah, google betas. I can see the appeal of this one on publishers, bloggers and marketers but for the common man sadly I don't see it yet. We already have avenues for such things like skype, facebook, twitter. I hope this does not flop like google wave and google buzz, which is also google's take on joining the social wagon.

I am sorta looking forward to this, because facebook can be quite annoying

That still happens to you? It's been at least a year since the invites plagued me. It use to be, "Matt bit you as a werewolf, do you accept?" all the damn time.

Google Wave use to be really useful, though. Sucks that they took it down.

You see, you've made a classic mistake there. It's not Facebook that's the problem... it's Jeffrey Song. You can block invites from individual friends via Privacy Settings > Block Lists.

No, it actually is Facebook that's the problem.

Getting some value out of a service like FB's shouldn't feel like work.

It isn't work. I've never been spammed with invites. If you've got a stupid friend that's your own deal, they'd probably just spam you with e-mail chain letters if they weren't spamming you with Facebook invites. Blocking it is just a couple of clicks away, it couldn't be simpler.

How you could look at his post and not come to the conslusion that this Jeffrey guy is obviously a dick is beyond me.

Building a house is work. Fixing an a/c unit when it's 110 outside is work. Weeding out spammers by clicking a button? If that's work, then you need to reevaluate the word.
