Race to the Moon and Royal Court Games is seeking an invite to Google Wave. The thought is that by using Wave, our development times will be much improved. Due to its increased ease of conversing, and sharing information between a group of individuals, you can see why a developer, where all members are remote, would greatly benefit from such freedom. So not only will you get a Beta Slot for two small indie studios, but you'll also get the satisfaction of knowing you're helping bring good games to the platform. Anyone not familiar with Google Wave please check out the following link. All the best,
oh come on! People have been developing and doing business for years without google wave. Ever heard of a telephone or fax machine? jokes aside, good luck getting an invite.
A fax machine?! Are you for real? Anyway, we've already made Synth Racing by solely using Gmail and Skype. Three guys, who are thousands of miles apart, who never knew each other prior. Interesting fact tho, on this latest game.. when the programmer and I got together to work in the same location for a weekend we achieved 5x more than we usually would. Now I'm not saying it's going to replace being together in the same space. However a lot gets lost in the fold and people get off task, or start doing completely different things, when you're trying to develop complex applications remotely. Google Wave looks to be a cohesive solution for storing resources for a group of people to more easily discern what's what, thus again, why a team such as ours is looking forward to using it. So in any event, thanks for your negativity, or as you call it 'a joke'. I'm looking to be more productive..
