    You have over 5,000 posts, yet you still post in the wrong section. I'm dissapointed.

    Holy shit, dude. Google killed Kenny, aka the iPad. o_o;
    THAT is the kind of performance I expected out of the iPad, not just an enlarged version of what most people already have. Good work, Kamazar! :D
    Looks like Google is finally gnashing at Apple's heels and winning. The Google phone was a close call. Not quite an iPhone, but almost. Looks like the yipey mutt finally worked its way up to competing with the big dogs :) Can't wait to get my hands on a Google pad when they get around to creating it.

    I think the iPad has to reach a certain level of success/popularity before we can deem any other gadget as "an iPad killer".

    I wouldn't consider them winning because how could something imaginary be a killer? And Apple must certainly feel betrayed.

    Oh noes. A product that isn't on the market might have to compete with a product that may or may not ever exist.:eek:

    Even when I try sounding dramatic, it's hard to get excited about that.

    I was under the impression the iPad might kill itself.

    Until another company has a comparable appstore, nothing will kill the idevice.

    Have opinions changed since the release of the iPad? Anyone still looking forward to the possible Google Pad?

    I originally thought tablets would be more about the web than the apps but I was proven wrong after using the iPad. Two of the best apps I own on it would be paintshop pro like drawing app and one that uploads documents/images/pdfs and I even figured out a way to view upload digital comics onto my iPad! Surprisingly these 2 apps alone came out with a debut price of 99 cents :-D

    Even though the apps make the iPad even more versatile but it's hard to recommend any non-essential device for 500 dollars. You aren't missing out if you don't own one but if you did spend the money then you probably won't regret it :) Personally I think it's a great device for the average idevice enthusiast to own once it drops to around 300 dollars :D

    I don't think Google needs an app store to beat the iPad, it just needs to deliver more PC-like qualities. Yes, they'll be targeting different areas in the market, but Google's device will be targeting the more popular one. Comparisons will be made regardless.

    That's just asking for trouble with reviewers and headline-writers: Googon/Googoff, anyone?
