I was wondering if it's a good time to buy an iPad right now? Are there any new versions/updates/sales coming up in the next few days or weeks? And is the iPad case ($45) from the Apple store useful? We'll mainly be using the iPad at home to surf the web. Thanks.
If I were you I'd just wait until they inevitably release a second generation iPad, it is bound to be much than the current. HOwever if you really want one, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get one as a new generation is probably 6 or so months off
I think it's as good a time as any. I doubt we will see 2nd gen iPad very soon--they just started selling the 1st gen internationally recently. I wouldn't expect any sales either--they are selling out, so no need to lower the price. I don't have the apple case, but it doesn't look like anything special. You can certainly find nicer cases from case manufacturers.
