+1 to Snakie, cool shapes to cross over, very nice retro vector graphics and very responsive controls

Snake galaxy for most eye catching

Snakie for the most that stays true to original but with 3d graphics

anaconda for the most like the original but I found too plain

I believe Snakie will be my choice as I enjoy the original but Anaconda may get too boring too quickly.

Thanks to everyone for their choices! :)

good choice :)...the controls on snakie are sensitive and you can do some very intricate moves with them...a quick tap for a little bit of turn, a longer tap for a harder turn, and hold for really quick 180 degree and over turns

There is also a fairly new game, SnakeDOS. It's super retro; think it's $.99

Edit: I can confirm it's $.99 and the dev also says he plans to add mulitplayer

    Wag

Anyone know what happened to WAG by Lexistouch?

I was just about to purchase but it's gone from both the App Store and App Shopper.
There's no option to contact the deloper on his site...
