The Infinity Project is a great SciFi FPS Space Miner: Space Ore Bust is like Asteroids with RPG elements Doom II RPG is a little straightworward, but worth playing There are some expansions to The Quest that are space-y like Escape from Asteroids 1 & 2 War on Eustrath is mecha/TBS Red Conquest! is a significantly deep RTS Isotope is a cool dual-stick-shooter with stats/leveling Ascendancy is a deep 4X space strategy game
Mission: Europa is in a class all its own in terms of amount of game play and depth. It's gaining in popularity and the reviews are giving it high regards - definitely look into it.
thanks for that list, infinity projectr sounds great to me, space miner by the screenshots doesnt look great but your description makes it sound great, im downloading the demo so ill see, couldnt find war on eustrath, or red attack, isotope looks quite good, ill see what its like, didnt look up ascendancy yet though
Ascendancy is a port of an computer game that has some involved strategy and civilization building. It's recommended.
just saw some pics of it, doesnt look for me, looks to complicated, i mean while i dont mind complicated games i get confused easily and ascendancy looks really confusing
i tihnk ill skip GoF 2 until its either gone down in price or goes on offer, ive no idea if i like GoF 1 yet and £6 for an ipod app seems a bit expensive (i spent all my pocket money earlier today)
There's always The Quest: Escape from Asteroids and it's sequel, The Quest: Attack from Asteroids. These can be played as expansions to The Quest or as standalone games. Also, Xenome Episode 1 is a third person action RPG with sci-fi elements. Sci-Fi RPGs are under-represented in App Store but Rogue Element is one on the distant horizon that seems promising.
already god xenome ep. 1, an absolutely great game, fav rpg on the ipod (if it was on pc it would be rubbish, its nothing new, ive seen the precise type of game before, but because its on ipod its something completely new and good)
With your iOS game library perhaps you should be making the recommendations to us; what sci-fi RPGs do you suggest other than Xenome?
just read about rogue element that it wont support older ipods, im running a 1st gen so its gonna be useless for me (unles si upgrade, which im thinking of doing)
