I just got an Asus G73 XT1 and I need some good games for this insanely fast machine. I'm getting Black Ops just for Combat Training mode so I can practice keyboard FPS controls, I've been considering Rift and Dragon Age 2 (played the PC demo for that and ran max settings with Direct x11 and had no lag ). What are some good PC games I should buy?
If you're into rhythm games, then stepmania is the way to go. Infinite songs to keep you busy. For platforming, try I Wanna Be The Guy. it's a crazy hard sidescrolling game. Also, touhou for vertical shooters.
Crysis, Crysis: Warhead, Crysis 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, HAWX 2, GRID, Portal 2 (when it comes out), Mass Effect 2, Battlefield 3 (when it comes out), Shogun 2.
Wait do NOT buy Black Ops for PC. Terrible idea. that game has no optimization behind it. It sends your CPU to 100% and barely even uses your GPU. Runs like total crap on almost every machine. I swear Crysis 2 runs at a higher frame rate than Black Ops for me (btw I highly recommend Crysis 2). not to mention Blops is buggy as hell on PC. treyarch smoked a lot of crack while making the PC version.
That's true, but are bots necessary to practice? Can't you just play a few matches or some of the campaign? Well, anyways, Counter Strike: Source has bots
Two games: metro 2033; one of the best, most engrossing storylines in a fps you'll ever play; and Starcraft 2; that needs no explanation here. Also world of goo is fun on Mac/pc so your whatever computer it was should be fine. Oh btw my Mac is much faster And one last thing, cod4 on pc/mac is 5x better than any call of duty trust me.
awesome!! looks like im gonna get TF2! btw what is Total War 2 Shogun? I've heard nothing but amazing reviews from it.
