      Can't you just use a backup and sync all your stuff over to the new iPod Touch?

      Yes you could, but it wouldn't exactly be the moral thing to do :p
      (unless your brother is aware that you could make $200+ profit and is alright with that)

      edit, nevermind. It's your Dad's co-worker. Screw it. Buy it and sell it for sure, you're pretty much guaranteed to make a profit.

      Buy it, then sell it for $300+ before the iPhone 4 comes out (Unless your in America) then buy the iPhone 4, as the iPhone 3GS will become obsolite.
