That seems the most likely scenario. Hopefully the price doesn't drop. I actually bought the 3.0 only original because of the sale price and the dev stating that an update to 2.xx compatibility was forthcoming.
Sorry, nothing bad has happened! The availability date of Gomi got changed without me touching it. It somehow got set to tomorrow, so it disappeared. Not really sure what happened, but I changed it back and it should reappear soon!
Is it the avaliabilty of the updated version? EDIT: Nevermind, it is back up. Still version 1.0 though... Apple needs to hurry up with the updates, I am dying to play this!
It's still in review. It will have been in review for 2 weeks on thursday, which is the usual approval time now, so probably soon.

I just have to say, I bought gomi the minute it came out knowing that I had gotten about 20 dollars worth of enjoyment out of trace. I bought it thinking I might like it, but most all I wanted to support the developer in hopes that maybe we would see a trace2 or something, however gomi has quickly become one of my most played games on the iphone EVER. The ammount of gameplay is amazing, without even doing freeplay or going back to beat scores, you still have HOURS opon HOURS opon HOURS of gameplay. Gomi is everything Katamari and rolando should have been. It's hard to find faults in the game, I was mad when we kept hearing gomi will be soon, or gomi will be submitted soon, however after seeing and playing the finished product for a long time now, I can see what took so long. Congrats dev on a game that deserves to be a top 10 seller, keep up the great work.
lol it's best to not even start playing it, it's like crack, except harder to quit, and fewer support groups to help starve the addiction.
How does this run on a standard iPhone 3G? After watching the video I can't help but think that it would have stutters etc moving all those objects around on screen.
Oh it's back again. - 2.2.1 Compatibility - Achievements Save Properly - Bugfixes This is the one we were waiting on, right?
Finally, update 1.1 is out and 2.2.1 compatability work great! Thanks Bovinedragon! Now I am off to finally play this excellent game.
