Had to gave up, I was going berserk here. But later when I am old I will remember these 300 holes I played in two days and think it was a good life. Good luck with your future games, the most fun I had was with the frog who jumped lillypads from you guys way back in 2010.
What's the highest par hole possible in the game? Or is a five par hole the highest? Also I understand if you don't answer this, but are the courses randomly generated? Edit: Just saw a 10 par course in the screenshot, so five is not the cap.
I think this could have been much better if they only let you retry a hole only 2 or 3 times. Now it's just a trial of patience until you get a birdie or better.
The problem here is that you simply can't mess up if you have patience re doing a hole, it just eliminates any sort of challenge. It makes scoring completely meaningless.
Yeah, you basically right, but every game is meaningless when you see it that way, people just want to be on the Leaderboard even when they have to sell their own mother, that's IOS gaming. And replaying a hole and mastering it is very satisfying I can tell you that.
I seem to be not visible on the leaderboard, I have that since I updated to 8.1, what a bummer played all for nothing Ha Ha.
I've thought this was happening for a while, but wasn't sure. I'm certain now though. If I'm halfway through a hole and stop playing, then resume a few hours later, the game remembers the number of shots played but not the ball position, so I'm restarted from the beginning with several shots played. Please can you remember both, or neither, or allow resets mid-hole?
You can retry at the end of each hole though. I would understand where you're coming from if there was no retrying at all
Forcing the completion of a hole adds some friction to retrying a hole, encouraging the player to move on once they feel they've done "good enough". With an infinite number of holes to play we wanted to discourage the player from spending all their time trying to perfect a small number of holes and keep going to explore all the cool things you'll come across later.
Yeah, i can understand why you don't allow it. I'm sure I would retry more if it was possible. I only mentioned it as a possible solution to my issue.
It's like being able to go back individual turns in a turn-based RPG, you can alway retry the fight if you lose, but being able to go back on every single individual mistake would take the fun out of it.
