I'm wondering what game I should buy to occupy myself on a 6-hour-long plan trip to the east coast for the holidays tomorrow?

I'm thinking maybe Fieldrunners and Tiki Towers?

Any other thoughts/suggestions? (No online games obviously, and no I don't want to buy Rolando now, I bet the price will drop sooner rather than later).

Trism is a really fun puzzle game that can keep me occupied for very long amounts of time. Lots of different achievements, levels and game modes to play.

Field runners is also a good choice, those games take a while too.
Although, there are only two maps, it is still a very good game too.

Really depends on what you want to spend..

My favourite games that I play most for long times:
    Paid:
TouchGrind is good for half an hour (straight or seperated, whatever you want)
Bike or Die! 2 is good for as long as you can hold off nearly breaking something and then stopping (due to the massive frustration you will have playing it :p)
Brothers in Arms is good (may drain battery pretty fast, not sure) for as long as you want really
    Fastlane same as BIA really..
Scoops pure win for as long as possible
Line Rider iRide pretty cool for a while
Wings fly a plane on a plane :D
AutoMangle shoot the crap out of cars - always fun
AlienMangle havn't tried it yet... need tomorrows gifted iTunes cards :D but an FPS version of AutoMangle (replacing cars with Aliens, and you're protecting 'robot' sheep)
Paradise 10 mins at a time of fun
Pathways REALLY long awesome puzzle game
Culture as long as you want random puzzle

    Free ones:
    Pakoon III is awesome
Space Deadbeef good for a while if you like shmups
DuckDuckDuck awesome visuals with a game
    Mines Minefield

LOTS more.. Stock up on as many freebies as possible! Time will fly with all the games you can try! With AppStore.

And that is plenty enough games to easily take you through your 6 hour flight :)

    Have fun :)

oh, I havn't got (or tried) either Fieldrunners or TikiTowers - not into TD and havn't really looked into TikiTowers.. does look good tho.

Hope my suggestions help a bit.

Hmm, what about Zombie Attack? I remember it having a following here, and it's only 99 cents...

The game contains over 20 hours of gameplay, 6 immense continents, several hyperboles, 280 maps, 200 monsters, hundreds of items (including wheelbarrows!), and
    thousands of laughs!
    And its only 2,99.

    Rolando
It'll take between 3 to 10 hours to complete depending on whether you collect all the medals or not.

    Real Football 2009
It's a cool game that'll keep you occupied for a long time, especially if you start a Cup or League game.

    Fieldrunners
Great game. It gets repetitive after an hour or two, but it's a really fun game.

    Trism
Awesome puzzle game. Will keep you addicted for a long time.

    Jelly Car
Cool and challenging game. And the best part is that it's free.

These are my top games, but I also recommend:

    Dropship
    Topple
    Dr. Awesome
    Raging Thunder
    Enigmo
    SPiN
    Flick Fishing/Bowling
    Tap Tap Revenge
    Cowabunga

Ended up getting Tiki Towers and Zombie Attack!. They're only 99 cents, so they can't go wrong.

I already have all the ngmoco games (except Rolando of course), and don't want to spend more than $5 today, so the more expensive games are out. I also already have Enigmo and Tetris.

Those should keep me occupied! Thanks guys!

(And I really should take a look at Trism - it caught my eye back when it first came out, then I forgot about it. I'll probably grab that one for the return trip :D)

    RF09 is only 5.99!
I suggest you pick that up as I paid 10$ for it and I thought it was worth every penny!
Alien Mangle is awesome as well, and is totally worth 99 cents.

Here is a vid of Tiki Towers.

Orions: Legend of Wizards (Card based battles, $5)

Check out Chronicles of Inotia. I've spent at least 10-15 hours on it already. It's pretty fun and it's a very long game. :p I'm nowhere near finishing it
