    Hi GodsOlyAlliance! Great, I'm glad to hear that the matchmaking changes have worked well for you! There are still some over/undervalued bases floating around here and there, but things look to be converging nicely. We'll be staying on top of it, though!

    Good question on rankings. We're doing a bit of surgery on the rankings screen, since we ran into some performance issues with it when our player population skyrocketed right after launch. The versions you see right now aren't frequently updated, but we'll be dramatically improving that. We expect to have the Player Rankings fixed some time today and the Alliance Rankings fixed soon after, hopefully tomorrow.

    By the way, do you know roughly where you would fall on the rankings list? For this version, we're only supporting showing the top 100. In the update we're currently working on, we're also planning on showing your personal ranking, even if you're not a top 100 ranked player.

    Your alliance rank is composed of the scores of your member players. The current totals we're showing aren't yet accurate and have a large lag time before being updated, but we're in the process of tightening that up and should have it working nicely in the next couple of days.

    Ideas for the game

    Greetings. Your game captivated me the first time I saw it on the App Store, and although it's only been realeased for a while, you have had so many players enjoying the game. The game itself is very unique and has probably never been seen on the App Store. Players can relax and build without being worried of attacks, losing their resources but instead making it for both the defender and attacker to have fun and continue throughout the game. I have never seen a game where your allies can attack or defend with you throughout the battle, and if too many players get on to attack or defend it is balanced out by reducing the troops they can spawn. The game was very well planned out, but it is missing a few things for example the other 6 main gods to the game, including Dyonisis, Hephaestus, Demeter, Poseidon, Hades and Hermes. I do not know if you are developing these characters.

    The ideas I have for the game are: 1) Tents. These tents are shown in the campaign and would be intense in an online battle, deploying troops for the attacking team and you choose the production, Archers or swordsman and have it so each squad costs 10 food and have the tents produce 2 food every 3 seconds, instead of deploying troops. This would make it harder for the attackers to just destroy all the temples. 2) Troop commanding. For the allies assisting the attacker, they would actually deploy their troops and maneuver them around, helping the attackers far better than they would by simply have them deployed and attack a building instead of focusing on defending your allies God. This would also work better for the defending allies so they could focus on taking down a god. 3) Generals (Troop). This would be the unit the attackers or defenders use to command their troops. The General should have a 500 range that allows him to control his troops, with a health of 1000. They can interact and enter a tent/temple of the users choice. 4) Catapults. This should be a troop only spawnable by an ally attacker. With a damage of a level 1 ballista and a cost of 20 food. This would be a great asset to the attackers to take down buildings instead of sending a horde of swordmen to take care of it. 5) Heroes. This would include characters like Hercules, Perseus, Jason, Theseus, etc. You could pay 10,000 gold to hire them and attack with them. To balance it, these heroes could not be leveled up and not be controlled. If you could develop this, the Hero would be smart, attack temples if in target or run around and take out buildings that aren't guarded and run if under attack by a massive army. The one perk he would have: Regeneration. Something no one in the game has. He could have a health of 10,000 and regenerate 50 every 5 seconds.

    Well that's all the ideas I could put down without destroying my keyboard. Thank you for making an amazing game.

    Thanks for the praise. Yes, as far as we know, the live assisting is a feature unique to our game. Rest assured that more gods are coming. I'm actually modeling the new god right now. Its still unannounced at the moment.

    As for the the other feature ideas, thanks for the input. Some of these sound eerily similar to conversations we've had here at the studio and some are new to us, but again, nothing announced yet. We'll be sure to go over these once everyone is in the office this week.

    Again, your kind words mean a lot to us and beleive me that everyone here will be reading them.

    Had to turn notifications off - getting attacked literally 100's of times each day kept my phone screen on almost constantly, lol. Also, most of the time I can't get into the game quick enough to defend anyway, so I think it will be okay not knowing. Again, had this been a game where you lose resources, it would have been an instant delete by now. :)

    Hi, what a fantastic game this is, I love it! I'm lvl 40 and I'm enjoying playing very much :)

    I would just like to ask if there's any plans on changing the amount of nectar it costs to attack a base. I haven't worked the figures out exactly but to attack a base it costs 1000, to gain that amount of nectar it would take roughly an hour and a half, maybe more. So you'd have to wait that long to play for a couple of minutes. That seems a bit extensive. I know you gain nectar for levelling up but that doesn't happen very often at higher levels.

    I have 3 suggestions to help this, perhaps you could lower the cost to attack by a significant amount, make it so you don't lose any nectar if you win the battle, or make it so your gain a lot of nectar for each successful defence.

    I really hope you consider this! Thanks for reading developers, you really have made a great game and I thank you for it :)

    Hello Hijacker! Concerning this post, yes it is true that it would take an hour or more to gather enough nectar to attack, but consider this: if you could attack every 10 minutes the bases would be to overpowered in a number of days, newcomers to the game won't have a chance to attack anyone because of how hard the bases would be. Also, the game allows INSTANT building and upgrading, so to balance that out the nectar is a pretty good choice. These type of games weren't meant to be playing all the time and the buildings were to be upgraded in a couple days or even the troops, but the creators have balanced this out by enabling allies to attacking, so this game you CAN really play all day if you have active allies.

    Alliance Troop Spawning

    So I have a Q for you guys, what damage does the soldiers the alliance spawns do? Do they do the same damage as the troops Athena spawns in? Do they do the damage from the highest level Academy you have in your village? Do they do normal dmg?

    For you specific quesiton;
    The strength and number of troops you drop is based on the main player's stats, not your own.
    For attacks, the strength and quantity of ally reinforcements will depend on the number of gods the main player has, and their gods' average level.
    When defending an ally's city, your troops' strength and quantity will be based on the number of temples in the ally's city, and the temples' average level

    Idea for Alliance WAR

    So, thank you BTW, for answering my question! Also, today I want to bring something that is in so many different Strat games, but in a different angle. ALLIANCE WARS. So what I was thinking, We add what you already have into this new mode for alliances. There will be this big map, almost as big as your little village but with all the land unlocked. As normal battles, the allies can drop in troops to attack the main temple (there will only be one) but there's a limit to where the drop zone is, say 30 tiles away from the main temple. Then you can go into GOD mode, where for 30 seconds you can get your highest ranking God into the battle!

    GOD MODE includes:
    Highest level God
    30 seconds of activation
    -50% To cool down time for power ups

    ALLY TROOPS
    800 health
    200 attack

    MAIN TEMPLE
    100.000 hit points
    Bonus ( Depends on what the Alliance Leader buys at the Alliance Store)

    ALLIANCE STORE
    Athena Bonus Level 1 [Gives 1% more health to troops] 1 Million Alliance Gold
    Aphrodite Bonus Level 1 [Gives 1% more Ranged Damage ] 1 Million Alliance Gold
    Ares Bonus Level 1 [Gives 1% more Melee Damage] 1 Million Alliance Gold
    Zeus Bonus Level 1 [Gives 2% more Attack Damage] 10 Million Alliance Gold
    Artemis Bonus Level 1 [Gives 0.2% more Range] 20 Million Alliance Gold
    Apollo Bonus Level 1 [Gives 0.1% Regeneration] 30 Million Alliance Gold

    ALLIANCE GOLD
    Every 300.000 Gold = 100 Alliance Gold
    There's a catch though, Top 20 players in alliance CANNOT donate money towards Alliance Gold! This would ensure the TOP player that has 200 million a Gold just sitting there can't put money in the Alliance bank.

    ALLIANCE WAR MAP
    So every clan has about 100 people in it yes? And I know you can't have 100 players vs 100 players without your servers crashing. So obviously there has to be a separation. This map will be of GREECE. The Alliances will be randomly given a homeland in one of the pieces of land ( I suggest there be about 30-20 lands) and the Alliances will each have a day to take the neutral lands, after the day ends, the alliance is split and the war is begun! If there is 20 (which is more likely to be) lands, then there will be 5 players in each map, there will be something called RALLY, Where Generals call for a rally and 4 other players can join, then the General attacks. Obviously there will be a 20 General limit to the alliances. The objective of this war ( BTW ITS GONNA LAST HELLA LONG 5 days top ) is to (as you guessed!) conquer your enemies homeland. If you do not conquer your enemies homeland, and the 5 day period ends, then the amount of land the alliance owned gives them 5 trophies each to the alliance. Neither side loses trophies, only gains unless they lose a battle. Lost a land? Lose 5 trophies. Won a land? Win 10 trophies.

    ALLIANCE RANKINGS!

    So, Every Alliance deserves a title! After every 6 months , The top alliances 1-20 will receive a title! ( also a bonus )

    1st place
    Title KING
    10% More attack damage for ally troops ( Does not affect alliance wars )
    10% Boost to temples
    Alliance Troops Skin ( Fully Gold warriors ( Talking about replacing the color blue with plain gold or yellow ) )
    50% Boost to stone and gold producers

    2nd Place
    Title QUEEN
    5% More attack damage for ally troops
    5% Boost to temples
    Alliance Troops Skin ( Silver )
    30% Boost to stone and gold producers

    3rd Place
    Title PRINCE
    3% More attack damage for ally troops
    3% Boost to temples
    Alliance Troops Skin ( Bronze )
    15% Boost to stone and gold producers

    4th to 8th Place
    Title KNIGHTS
    1% More attack damage for ally troops
    1% Boost to temples
    Alliance Troops Akin ( Green )
    5% Boost to stone and gold producers

    Thank you for taking your time to suck all my ideas out for this, I hope you can make this happen because it, for one took me a long time to write and balance, and also because it's fun, but I understand if you cannot because the game is already crashing sometimes and adding an update this huge would make it unplayable, but I really hope you can make it less laggy and more enjoyable for all with an update like this! Thank you.

    First I must applaud your Herculean effort (some greek humor :)) on putting this together. Second, it is so exciting to all of us to see such involvement because you must really like the game in order to spend so much of your time working on this. Thank you so much!

    Let me address you last points first. The crashing on some devices is a known issue that will be fixed in our upcoming release. The only reason its taking us a bit longer to get that release to you is that it will be filled with some other great improvements and a NEW GOD!! TBA.

    The forums; we are getting some decent activity right now.. I assume you registered. Could you tell me what your login name is and we will look into it on our end and see if we can't get you squared away.

    WAR IS COMING! Alliance wars has always been something on our roadmap. Its going to be huge feature and just like our base game will have to bring innovation to the genre. However, it is going to take us a while to get it just right for you.. As far as you idea, everyone here will read it and we will take it all into consideration. Many many thanks to you.

    Hi Perow, we do not have build times nor do you have to rebuild units which most game also have a timer. What we do have is an energy source called Nectar that is used to persuade the gods to fight for you. This does run out and accumulates over time, but you can always convert gems so you can fight again so you can get a lot of play time out of it. You should give it a try. And as I've stressed before, aside from the no build times, our combat system is different because you have full control which really improves the experience. So if you love these kind of games, you are going to really LOVE this one.:)

    president, I think you may like the campaign. It light hearted and funny. Gotta love the Greek humor.

    Hello my fellow Developers!

    God Powers

    Hey Owly. I see what you guys are going for but it seems all wrong, See Zeus's Power was the ability to summon a lightning bolt to hit the earth from the sky, so I say transfer Artemis's power to Zeus and change her power to Followers Of Artemis. See my Greek knowledge is MASSIVE. I've read so many books about the Greeks and Romans. Artemis should be able to spawn Followers Of Artemis, or Archers that are female and wear white clothing, and do at least triple the damage normal archers do, but the max unit is 20 followers (since we don't want to include the other original 40). Now Zeus with his lightning bolts. In many Greek Stories it mentions Zeus blasting armies or cities with this MASSIVE thunderbolt. So I would say that 1) You remove that lightning bolt that strikes multiple people or 2) Remove his time stopping power ( Because that's NOT his power, it is his father's power, Kronos) and add in a massive bolt that does a 1000 damage to a 1000 radius or something dunno how you measure distance in this. Also when Ares uses his power to gain power from the death on the battle field he should probably A) Summon his sons Deimos and Phobos who act as AI and attack stuff randomly and either stay till dead or do massive dmg and disappear when Ares' rage disappears or B) He summons 8 of his Ares Acolytes.

    Boy or Girl?

    So I think the players should be allowed to choose their gender, but not just a pink or blue name, I'm talking about the whole civilization. The AMAZONS. A fiercesome civilization rumored to be a myth in the ancient times. A Female army stronger than the Greeks. If the girl chooses this, All archers, hoplites and the little AI in the village that roam around should be turned into girls, no helmets just hair :p . This is just vanity and will change nothing.

    Thankyou for your support, I will keep the ideas coming in for you to revise hope this makes it into the update.

    Thanks for all that input. We recognize that we have taken some liberties with their powers and some things are not very historically accurate ( heck, we have buildings with purple and pink roofs :)). As developers we made the very conscious decision to make the fun factor be the most important par of the game. So the way we decided on powers and such came from trying to figure out how to balance their powers and also give each god their appropriate role in combat while still maintaining their mythological roots. Its a tricky job. But in the end we know that the people that are really interested in mythology probably already know all there is about the matter so we didn't seek out to educate but instead create a fun experience in the world of ancient mythological Greece. But with continued support from players like you, we will continue to add more and more content and bring some of those secondary heroes into the game in one form or another.

    As far as the gender idea, its not a bad idea, we would have to work out some issues. Currently the helmets do a lot to specify what level of units you have so that information would have to show up some other way. But taking note of this.

    Keep the feedback coming. We are listening.

    Sorry I haven't posted in a while, been busy.

    As I was playing, I remembered what you said about the ally troops being the attackers force didint seem fair, so I thought why not make it based on the allies force or the force of the alliance?

    Allies Force

    So this would depend on the level of gods the ally has, say the highest God he she has is level 100. That adds 100 health and strength to the starting force for all troops which is like, 300 health and 70 attack? Or mabye every level is changed by 2. I'm sure you guys will figure it out, ur smart.

    Alliance Force

    So this would be based on the average level of the gods the whole alliance has. It has to be the more the players the more damage because someone with a level 150 God can just make a clan and have super op soldiers with his other friends.

    Also, ITEMS

    Alliance Players should receive a trinket every time he attacks. With these trinkets he can build armor n stuff to equip his alliance soldiers. There will be a lil slot or building ( Armory ) where the player can go and forge equipment and equip armor and weapons. This would also open new ways for you guys to branch out and start to consider VANITY for players. Of course this would come out in maybe a year because you can't have 200 rubber ducky soldiers on the field (right..???) without crashing the game a couple times a minute.

    I really hope this game becomes a big thing with lots of cool additions for the server! I know I've been kinda lazy and writing less and less but I'll try to work that brain of mine :D.

    EDIT- You guys need to nerf the archers because every time the arrow is done with one soldier, it goes across the map and kills the gods. You need to nerf is so the arrow only goes maybe 4 tiles before it dissappears.

    REEDIT- Make a little panel for players in real time ally helping where you can choose what formation you want the troops to attack in.

    REEDIT- I want to know if you guys could make the people or soldiers in the game a bit smaller. Because they look like 3 feet shorter in real life than the gods, and they don't seem to be able to fit in Zeus's temple, nor their little houses.

    Hello all! Its been a while. We have been busy working hard on continuing to develop the game. We've made a few updated since our initial release but this is our first major update that has significant gameplay affecting additions.

    Wow! Its been a crazy last few months. Since last we spoke there have been some major updates to the game including releasing to android and polishing our alliance experience even further. We have a major release right around the corner but before we announce that I wanted to catch up on some earlier changes. Our last significant update was the new Cyclops towers.

    The Cyclops tower hurls giant boulders, dealing area damage and crushing groups of enemy troops! Great for defending against small units who may be shielding the attacking gods. Unlocks at Level 40.

    We've added more useful information for alliance management. Track activity in your alliance from within the game! Tap the Assists column to reveal how long ago each member assisted, with color coded labels:
    Recent (<10 minutes): green
    10 minutes – 23 hours: light green
    1 – 6 days: white
    7+ days: yellow
    Never: orange

    See current reinforcement numbers of your allies and enemies at a glance. Each alliance has different ways of enjoying cooperative play so this feature may be used in different ways. Whether you choose to spread the love across multiple battles, or band together against tough opponents, you’ll be able to see what you’re up against before you join a battle!
