My theory why the combat is very slow goes thus: the game is short and slow combat and endless rolling ensures it's longevity. God of war, even on the PSP is so fast as it has thousands of enemies to butcher through with almost every small skirmish having a climatic mini boss fight before a grand boss fight. If God of War were as slow as this game' you would finish it in 2 months. Vivid is a great artistic company and I bought and enjoyed Real Boxing and would buy this one too to encourage them to keep making quality games but Real Boxing was also this slow and was like a turn based game even on the PS Vita as I bought that version too. I always returned to Fight Night PSP after playing RB to get a feel of how a fast boxing match should be.
I wish you could have a contest like Bug Heroes 2 where they gave early access to some player it was really fun!
It can also be very fast, but still go on for a very long time. Which is, incidentally much like melee mechanics, often when it is best. But surely you know this?
I'm pretty sure vivid confirmed it. The game has pre-rendered graphics like IB. They are trying to support a wide range of devices.
Oh, then I apologize for suggesting you knew different. Though, did they actually list those devices, or did they just say they'll support older devices and you're assuming it'll go back that far. I never see newer games, especially graphically intensive ones, say they'll work on iPad 1s for instance. I don't think any of the devices you listed even run iOS 7. Anyway, I guess we'll know in a couple of days.
