Thank you vivid games. First of all I just want to say that I LOVE this game # but do you guys plan on adding new weapons like a two handed sword and a sword and shield? Could you give us an indeph description of your plans and ideas for the upcoming updates?
I wouldn't suggest that it's a great gane by any standards but for what it is it's certainly a million times better than those IB clones and endless runners which are made purely later of which are created purely to nickel and dime casual gamers and they do make a lot of money. The choice is in our hands to support quality games not saying that you should buy this game or that game but if you really like the game then please get it at full price,In this case the devs were clearly asking a bit too much for such a short experience so I guess the reactions are justified but there are still good premium games out there which most of the gamers skip in order to get yet another endless runner. I'm sick of all these me too repetetive clones which can hardly be justified as games,It almost feels like I'm playing angry birds on a gtx titan. These devices have all the power in the world but all of it is wasted playing angry birds and temple run,As it stands there's hardly any freemium game that grabs my attention for more than 10 minutes,Vita might be one of the worst handhelds ever but still I find myself playing it a lot more than my 5s,just shows how lame mobile gaming is in it's current state.
What will the coming updates have for us? Fix the joystick movement? Fix lag? Any new weapons besides duel swords??? When will the story continue..
hi all,i finished this amazing game, when they will make chapter 8?If not soon i want to delete game because i need space
Game Impressions Here are my impressions after playing through the first few acts. * Graphics are really nice as everyone has pointed out. I'll leave it at that since you can watch gameplay videos and decide for yourself if they're to your liking. * I like the sound effects and music. * Voice acting is good enough, not as good as console games which hire A-list actors, but good enough to not break immersion. * So far I find the combat to be fun. It's somewhat slower than some games. I'm not really good at fighting games, especially with touch controls, so I find the slightly slower pace to be more fun, since I actually have a chance to think about which moves to make instead of frantically mashing buttons. On the initial difficulty level it's possible to get away with playing sloppily, but if I actually try dodge and block and time my attacks to avoid getting hit, then it's quite fun and engaging. If you're expecting deep combat like Infinity Blade, where each encounter takes a lot of skill and technique to complete, then you'll probably be disappointed. I would compare this more to hack-n-slash games like Dungeon Hunter 2 and such. Compared to those the combat here is much more engaging, I think partly because dodging and blocking actually feel very necessary, and you can actually see your dodges and blocks working. Also, I don't know how the challenge will change when I play on a higher difficulty. Will the enemies just have more health and attack power, or will they become more difficult in other ways too? * The couple of boss fights I've done so far were fairly simple once I caught on to the patterns of the boss. As others have pointed it, it's mostly a matter of dodging and blocking for a while until they enter a "tired state" and you can attack them for a while, and then recognizing when they're about to leave their tired state and start attacking again so you can move away and repeat the cycle until they're dead. * Performance is good on my iPad 4. I occasionally get some stuttering during cutscenes, but for the most part it's smooth. * So far I've felt no need for any of the IAPs, but I haven't played long enough to say whether it'll start to feel like a grind eventually without buying them. So far I'm quite happy with my purchase. I don't know how much replay value this will have, but I can definitely see wanting to play through it on all the difficulty levels. I think the game is worth it even just as an "experience" type of game, like Monument Valley or Tengami. Neither of those games was very challenging, nor do they have much replay value, yet I didn't mind spending $5+ on them because it was a really fun experience playing through them, like watching a movie. I think this game will have more replay value than those, but even if I feel like I've mastered the gameplay after 5 or 10 hours I'll still feel like I got my money's worth just because of how rich the game world feels.
Well, I just have one single question, heh. Is there any device which is able to play it in retina resolution? I mean, like in the screenshots in the AppStore description^^ I'm playing on iPad Mini Retina and honestly, it looks like crap. Is this a bug or just another dev which cant handle the A7 SoC? You know, I've paid for the graphics stated in the screenshots but I didn't got them.
I'm playing on an iPad 4 and it certainly looks like it's taking advantage of the retina screen to me. Which games are you comparing this to with regard to graphics?
Nobgame on appstore is retina ready atleast not any 3d game, the highest resolution you can get is 720p mostly,No way can any game apart from simple 2d games can run at that mammoth resolution of ipad air.Ps3 and xbox 360 can barely manage 720p,I don't expect any 3d game to run at retina res. for atleast 5-6 years unless it looks very ugly or is very limited in scope like IB.
Huh? 720p is 1240x720px. That's a little bit more in width and a little bit less in height (landscape) than that what the iPad 2 delivers and this is how it looks like on my Mini R. Like blurry low-res iPad 2 resolution. Every UE game which I've played had a much higher resolution and I am able to name countless iOS games which were running in native resolution on retina iPads. C'mon, this was already mentioned a couple of times in this thread.
I have no problem supporting a great game and developer. If Mika's games had IAP, I would grab them in a heartbeat. I just don't see the point in wasting $7 on repetitive, pretty trash. I'm not sure if this game is trash, but these reviews make me feel like it. When I first saw this, I knew it was no where close to GoW, but it looked pretty.
Yes!!! This game is just last the last 2 Godzilla movies; overhyped, full of empty promises, and a waste of money! $70 for a picture book, statue, and t-shirt?? You don't even get the IAP in that "Titan" edition.
Maybe it's running even lower than 720p mate, the graphics are quite good imo not great but still good.I guess that's the problem the such a high res is that the games will like look at little jaggy and blurry running at anything less than 720p.I might be wrong though it's best you mail the devs and ask them to increase the res in an update. I doubt that many ios games run at even 720p tbh,Simple games likeAngry birds and like might run at retina though.
Gotta agree with you mate,This is a 6.5 or 7/10 for a 'mobile' game,If this is a masterpiece then so is flappy bird and in that case so am I as good as pele.
6.5? Come on man! 70$ for a game filled with iap's. Can't beat it, such an awesome deal. Pay almost 100$ and you get this sick ability. It's the ability to not obtain certain items unless you pay more, pretty sweet if you ask me. I wonder what they were thinking.
