I would love to see an option to enlarge the joystick and attack buttons (on iPhone 5). I often miss them. Either that, or they're slightly less responsive than before the update? I'm finding the evade most problematic -- I think it was better before the update. But the game does seem smoother and brighter if I'm not imagining it.
Not sure. I was just guessing, bc we didn't have to buy it. Not sure if it was a glitch (like our armors disappearing) or intentional as a gift.
I have the same problem, though to me it seems the same as before the update. This was my main complaint with the game previously, and mainly why I had stopped playing it. I just couldn't ever get a really satisfying feeling of getting closer to mastering the combat, because I never felt confident about whether the virtual stick would respond. So I was getting better at predicting enemy behavior and knowing when to dodge, but then often my character just wouldn't respond to my input and I'd get hit anyway. This is especially annoying in Survival mode where you don't get any health back for killing enemies. Earlier in the thread a couple of people said this isn't a problem if you use an MFi controller. It seems like part of the problem is that the touchable area for the stick is too small. Compare it to a game with good virtual sticks, like any of the Radiangames games, and the difference is obvious. It's shame because I'm sure it's a pretty small thing to fix, but it has a big effect on people who don't have controllers.
It's much better although could still do with being a moving joypad rather than fixed, as I find myself standing still in battle. Survival has improved overall much better. Are the graphics better or is it just me?
Soo... Do i get those weapons free if i reinstall the game? I deleted it coz i already finished story mode and i didnt really enjoy the survival mode.
survival gets kinda tedious once you unlock the helios mask perk that lets you regain 5% of your health each hit. But I like leveling up, so I'll prob grind there some more. I feel like this game could be improved by just getting rid of the stick and block buttons altogether, replace with a tap/hold on the screen to block and directional swipes for dodging. Also if they could just get rid of all the puzzles besides the ones where you have to move tiles out of the way to get the sword to the side of the screen that would be great... Or just make more of those, since they're actually enjoyable and not tedious.
I think they made the graphics clearer, but I haven't replayed all the levels, so not 100% sure. I notice less of that blurriness, though. Also, nice to be able to skip cutscenes. Yeah, the controls still need work. They're still frustrating.
I reinstalled and loaded my cloud save and had those weapons. But beware, you'll likely lose your armors (and any gold you used to upgrade them).
Man I am loving this game again. The armors I lost are easily gotten back. Just select the stage they are discoverable on and make sure its normal difficulty and run through the stage. This type of game is why I bought my iPad air a while back.
Lol the Firedragon armor looks so awesome! EDIT: If I could ever get the picture attchment thing to work for the TA app I would show you
Im reading this comments here, and all i can say is that kids spoiled like that dont deserve games like this, and dont know to apriciate efford devs put into this game. You think this is easy and cheap? When bladeslinger came out all ware bitching about controls (wich ware perfect for touch screen), and now when you get classic controls again your not satisfied... And bitchin about losing armors, weapons iaps.. Just play the game again and colect them, its that simple, you dont have to buy anithing. On NES and other older consoles we never haved save option, we always played from brgining and been happy when finished the game. Kids go play classic NES games, then slowly move to SNES, then sega, then clasic pc games, then ps 1&2 games then come to play this and you will learn to apriciane games like this ON YOUR PHONE! Yea the PHONE! Sorry for bad english.
The control is not the problem, the problem is you just roll and hack and repeat. It requires timing, sure, but it'a still kind of restricted and repetitive. And players losing items is definitely the dev's fault here, you can't deny that. Anyway I wonder if the dev will deliver the armors back or we really need to grind for them again :/
