I agree with everything you said completely also the only way you can get enough money is through iaps in an already expensive game for its short duration. Come on guys I know your small struggling devs. But ripping us off isn't the way to go! In the first survival level you get to choose between health or 69c not 100 69! Wtf! If you make it to the second you run thru vases in the hope you pick up a piddlingly small amount of health. Annoying! That's it! I've had enough of this shit! I gave it one more go and same result! It's fine first time but that's it after that you're wasting you're time! I've taken a star off the original score I gave it and now I'm hovering on one star as my ire grows! I know I sound like a prat! But still!
Actually you don't need to pay to enter Survival mode. When you go to enter, it offers you the option of buying some one time power-ups, but you aren't required to buy any of them. I've only tried Survival mode once, so can't comment on how much money it's possible to make playing it and therefore whether the power-ups are worth it.
No they're not! Also you do have to pay for other ones. I've tried to enter the others but can't ! There's three chests at the end of first wave in survival, health, special and money. As I said the money is a piddlingly small amount but it's the only thing worth getting as health will only get you to end of second wave where you try to replenish your health with tiny amounts and only if your lucky!
There are no paywalls in Godfire: Rise of Prometheus. Regarding gold drops - you can hunt for gold infinitely in Survival Mode. The longer you survive, the more gold the chests appearing in-between waves will hide inside.
If anything gold is really easy to find for me. I don't care about having to identify any items or anything because I have about 8 grand at all times. I don't even know what to spend it all on so idk how people are complaining about gold.. There are much bigger problems then that.
I spent a little more time playing Survival mode last night. It has the potential to be very fun, but the problems with the controls really start to bother me there. In story mode, even if I occasionally get hit because of the controls not responding, I'm regularly getting more health from the enemies I kill so it's not a big deal. In Survival mode where every hit I take really counts, it's much more irritating to miss a dodge or block or combo because the controls didn't respond. After a few tries of Survival mode I decided to drop the game until the controls are improved, or at least survival mode. @VividGames, you really need to pass on to the devs the fact that the controls often don't respond. Frequently I give a dodge input and the stick doesn't move at all. If I lift my finger and put it back then it will work, but often I've been hit by then. Also frequently combos don't seem to register. I'll enter one of the lite-lite-heavy combos and it will just do a single sword swipe. Even though it works most of the time, the fact that it doesn't respond 10% or 15% of the time makes it so I never feel confident that my inputs are going to take, which really spoils the fun of combat. I'm using an iPad 4 by the way. Has anyone on this thread played this with an MFi controller? If so, does it still have problems with not responding sometimes, or is that just a touch controls problem? I'm planning to get the Madcatz CTRLi when it comes out, and I'm wondering if that will solve the controls problem with this game.
@VividGames: I also have a problem to report with iCloud syncing. I tried syncing from my iPad to my iPhone last night, and it seems like not everything syncs. All the story mode levels that I've completed correctly synced, and my character's armor and stats upgrades as well. However when I went to play Survival mode on my phone it said I needed to complete Normal mode or pay, even though I had completed Normal mode. If I look at the levels in Story mode on my phone it even shows all the normal mode levels completed and Hard mode is enabled, yet Survival mode isn't enabled. I also noticed that it never gave me the option to do any finishing moves on the phone, which I assume is because the finishing moves that had been enabled on iPad didn't sync to iPhone. On the plus side, I was pleased that the game played very smoothly on my iPhone 4S.
@Vivid Games I'm also having problems with not responding buttons, sometimes. I also think that the buttons' hitpoint is a bit too small, imho. And if possible (disappointed you didn't implement it from start), a lot of players would like to change the buttons' layout ourselves. I'm at stage 7 in very difficult mode. I'm not sure if i can succeed these last battles because the above mentioned problems cause most of my deaths. For some new players - this is not a brainless button smasher, at least not on very difficult mode. Without some tactic and anticipation you die fast, well, i did and still do.
I agree. Although the main problem is you don't make enough money. My next armour upgrade is 2000c and next weapon needs 1500 for it to be examined to see if it's even worth having yet al you get credit wise is about 50 or 60c so you're talking 20-30 attempts to get money but you don't get any money for repeating level. So upgrades are out of the question! Still I got past the annoying choke point so I'll stop whining for a bit till I come across the next one!
Not a huge fan :/ the game looks amazing but it gets boring quick.. You run through a pre determined path... You stop.... You fight.... And that's about it.. Oh yeah sprinkle in there boss fights that are pretty lackluster.. I'm not trying to knock the developers just giving my honest take on the game
What more are you expecting? This is how far mobile games can go for now. They can't be as immersive like major PC titles with depth.
They could have made it longer.. This is not how far mobile gaming can go, but who knows, maybe they'll drop a HUGE content update that may change that.
Variety, the game is extremely repetitive and short.. The puzzles could be solved by a 5 year old.. Why so defensive dude, it's just my opinion.. I love you <3
