I've had my eye on this one for a few weeks now. The gameplay video looks pretty cool. I'm definately on board, but worried about the DLC situation. I won't continue to pump money into an app just to play it.
Pocket gamer says it will be released pretty soon. Anyway i hate their cell system. And i bet this will be online
Looks really polished and nice, but the game has a point or is it just messing around with your planet?
I've lost a lot of respect for ngmoco and the way they require you to buy DLC in order to play a lot of their new games. I know they do this to help stop the high piracy they have had with their games, but this isn't the way to go about stopping the pirates. They should find ways to put a block in the game that won't allow it to be played if it's missing a serial number or some type of code that can only be read by games downloaded directly from itunes. I know someone asked about the new game Across Age and they downloaded a bootleg copy and it wouldn't work cause it was missing something and FDG told them to buy the game that would fix the problem.
The DLC isnt needed to play the game it just makes it easier for the people that put money into it, I have enjoyed Eliminate and havnt payed a cent on DLC
At first I saw this and went all "OMG POCK3T GOD R1P0FF TTLY BAD SUCKS G0 D13 NGM0C0" but I'm changing my mind. It's really not like Pocket God, more of Black and White like people have said. It also seems to be more benevolent, in its own fun way, just like how Pocket God is more mean in its own fun way. I'll probably pick this up, hopefully it won't be practically made of DLC like Eliminate.
I'm worried about the in app purchasing in this game. In the videos it looks like you have to use the energy, mana, or whatever their calling it in this particular game to do things like move a follower, command them, terraform, build, etc. Imagine pocket god but you can only do ten things to the pygmy's in a single session.
you guys are getting it wrong. Think of DLC in this game as boosts. Its like how you didnt HAVE to buy more energy cells. 'Mojo' makes things recharge faster and gives you full energy and such. Its not needed, but its always that 'last resort'. My advice, pick up the game and be patient. Dont expect it to be a hardcore game for free. And once your really into it, buy some DLC
Exactly what I've been saying. Only i'll buy dlc to support ngmoco. Depending on how good the game is will decide how much I spend.
Yeah, everything Ive read about this app over the last few weeks indicates that it will be free... and although DLC will be provided for power ups, it's not required. As for the Pocket God comparisons... there aren't any. PG isn't even a god-complex app anymore, and hasn't been for at least 7 months. They should just change the name to "Pocket Pygmys & Minigames" because thats what it is... a whole bunch of scattered and unfocused ideas thrown into a big stew that doesn't make any sense as a whole. Kinda reminds me of the cheesy all-in-one apps you see that contain the battery meter, the flashlight, and a Swiss Army knife... They do it all, but don't do any of it good. Godfinger on the other hand appears to have had some thought put into the design. You're actually a God in this game, and it appears the inhabitants do alot more than just walk back & forth and fart.
Hey, dont make fun of pocketgod. i am a fanboy for that. but your right, this ISNT pocketgod........its different yet similar.....
