All the whining about the freemium model is stupid. If the game was priced 9.99 then people would either leave it, or buy it, simple as that. However if it's free everyone will download it to try, even those in this thread, complaining that they won't. Those who enjoy it will pay for some features, and if you still don't like it, you can decide not to pay for it, again simple, but with freemium they've got the game on your device and you've tried it, the full game, so they have taken one step over a game with just a flat rate price. I'm not familar with World of Warcraft or any other MMORPG, but is this the kind of discussion that persists on their boards? I do however agree the constant internet connection is annoying, but I guess that's just the type of game this is, I just wish it would release Worldwide already.
The wait for this one is killing me, it's the only game I'm really looking forward to that's due out very soon. It's gotta be nearing approval by now... I just hope that if they release only in Canada first, it won't take as long to have a worldwide release as We Rule...
Okay, it might not say specifically but this does, I blurred the names for privacy reason. I hope ngmoco is okay with me posting this pic I feel it is better to inform everyone now than have everyone give bad reviews because of a constant internet connection when it is released. Yes, requiring an internet connection does limit playability for ipod users. However, this should not change anyone's view of the game. I'm pretty sure the game is worth getting and won't disappoint.
You have to sign up. I put the link on the bottom. Its up to them to grant you access. It took them some time to add me i think about 4 to 5 days. Then when your become an ng_community member and when ever the game comes out ,ngmoco said they will allow us to help make decisions on the new features and content that will be added later in updates. http://next.ngmoco.com/
Thanks Mastery51. I wonder why the Ngmoco employees who have been browsing this thread has kept it quiet about the internet connection. Perhaps not to create too much negativity. Anyways I don't really see why the game needs a constant internet connection. Ngmoco should have anticipated that some people wouldn't play the game. Not because we don't like it but rather we can't always stay online while we play it. Oh well, they made their decision. One game off the "to get" list for me.
Because I only play my games on the bus and a various points of the journey there is no reception. Whether it's free or not doesn't bother me, as long as it is a good game.
You guys are pathetic! Sorry! I love ngmoco even more now (freemium rocks). - People whining about they need to pay for extra features and that there is small advertisement. They need to earn money too you know.. they give you free game and you can choose to buy some extra stuff to the game. - We rule the extra features are "mojos"(fertilizers/instant crop). They are letting people try the game, and if people like it very much they can choose to buy extra features. No people tells you to buy the extra features.. Its only been a week. The 'old' approval times went to 2 weeks. Lets hope this gets approved quick. I can't waiting another week for this game! D:
