I got that one with the mithril helmet, just as you tried. Just make sure you go in with 5 hearts, and you can make it out with 1 heart left. Not sure how the dashing works with the relic boots, it's not explained anywhere as far as I know.
When you equip the dashing boots, you will have an additional button on your screen to activate them. I had to ask myself, because I didn't notice the button.
In my case, i was using an MFi controller so it was a small matter of button testing to figure out pressing the R shoulder button performs the dash.
Some people on YouTube and here on TA have been asking whether I plan to make a walkthrough of Lost City similar to my other Goblin Sword videos. I'm sorry it took a while but here it is; I hope it's helpful. Lost City Walkthrough - All Treasures, Crystals and Bosses Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
How is the platform activated In the first part of the video that Andy posted of Level 13, I see how the inaccessible platform is activated, but I can not do it myself in the game. What steps do you take to activate the platform? Does it take any special relic or weapon? Thanks
You can use any weapon or relic with a ranged effect that can reach it. I think I used the Great axe myself (its magic throws 3 axes in an arc). Maybe the basilisk relic's charged sword attack can reach it as well.
Level 14 Help I need some advice on getting through Level 14 of the Lost City. I have watched the video, but can not get past the area after the second gem where the blades are. Is there any other way through this level? What is the best way to get through this area? Thanks,
If you're having trouble with that part, consider using the triple jump boots so you can avoid the rotating blades by jumping over them. Gotta be careful to land in a good spot though.
How do you kill armored monsters? I see in the video's that the armored monsters can be killed with a weapon that is not charged. How is this done? Thanks,
Congrats! As for the armored enemies, when they attack there's a brief window of time where they're vulnerable, mostly just after they swing their weapon. So the trick is to get close enough to trigger their attack (watch and learn the enemy's 'tell' that they're about to attack); after that either retreat when they swing and then quickly close in for a hit, or jump over and strike from behind.
Game Impressions Goblin Sword is a fantastic game and I would like to thank the developers for all of their time and effort in creating it! I'm really looking forward to a Goblin Sword II. Thanks,
You need a specific item to do it. Spoiler Use the Lightning Boots found in the previous (or maybe the level before) to dash through them for no damage.
No problem! I tried a few other items before using those. Mainly the helmet that extends invincibility duration. 2 hits in and 2 out, so it wasn't worth it.
I just picked this game up in the sale and while it plays well on the iPhone (where I use my thumb , on my iPad the controls are driving me mad. If I hit the left key before releasing the right key or vice versa, then the character just stops dead even when I'm only holding down one key. I think for now I'll have to resign myself to playing this on just the iPhone.
