    Demon Blade

That's actually the weapon I used for much of the end game. I don't remember where it unlocks but it should be in Andy's videos.

You will eventually find boots for triple jump capability. And don't believe the ALL armors are only decorative. The ninja suit for example offers little defense. Each hit will take two hearts! Other than that though, I didn't notice any other differences.

^ All chests can be reached with the double jump though.

Absolutely. I just wanted to make sure I answered Squashy's question about triple jump boots. Nightc1 explained that they can be reached with double jump, but never necessarily touched on the availability of triple jump boots, which are just fun to have. I know they are mentioned over and over in this thread, but digging through thread can be painful sometimes when time is limited and there is an awesome game like Goblin Sword waiting to be played!

Yeah, I was mainly trying to avoid as many spoilers as possible. There are the triple jump boots, but you get them so late in the game I don't know how much they should be looked forward to. I think I only even used them a couple of times as they are mostly pointless in the game versus the other stuff.

Does anyone know what the Guardians do? The Fairy did...nothing as far as I can tell. I found the phoenix pendant and discovered it was great. The Phoenix shoots a magic fireball, though very slowly, and if you lose your last heart it dies and restores you to 1 heart. Pretty solid. Was curious about the Dragon, Ghost, and what the Fairy does.

Best sword overall for me is Excalibur by far. Magic is excellent, damage is super high, and has good reach. I have a few others including the Demon Blade and never use anything else.

Anyway great game and just wish Armors were better investments. Cant wait for Goblin Sword 2!

I had to see this for myself... fired up the game and gave it a try. At no point did I take 2 hearts of damage. It was the same as all the other outfits.

I tried every outfit in the game and none changed the rate at which hearts go.

The only object that affects the damage rate is the Cursed Ring (unless there's another?). If you have that equipped then you do take two hearts damage for every hit.

So, no the armor does not in any way seem to affect anything in the game other than getting to play dressup.

The assistants were pretty lame-o and not very helpful. The most bang for your buck will be the ability to triple jump. With these on I jam and stay alive longer.

The only reason why I'm collecting the armors is for the achievement

Triple Jump is probably the best, makes things much easier when treasure hunting. Though Phoenix is still a 6th HP and the little fireball is good until you cash him in for that heart. The pyro coat is also nearly mandatory on 4-16.

Even if most relics, weapons, and armors are just bunk the game was/is fantastic. A deeper upgrade system, seperate magic attack button, and longer levels akin to the 16s is on my GS-2 wishlist.

I wish that the weapon ability descriptions were much more precise.
Even though there's other weapons with the exact same stats as the Escalibur, it's very obvious that the Excalibur does way more damage.

Oh god the last level of first area is really tough. Took me 1 hour and a half to complete it, and that's me getting lucky with heart drops  last level of the other areas must be even crazier...

Thanks for the heads up :D

    Defeating the Werewolf

I defeated the Werewolf in the Forest section today and have a few questions.

In the Souvenir section, I thought it would show the head of a Werewolf like it shows the head of the Minotaur, but it shows "Holy Armor". Is Holy Armor correct?

Does defeating the Werewolf unlock anything or is it just completing a quest?

When I completed level 15 of the Forest section, it said a secret level had been unlocked. Is this referring to level 16, or is there another secret level somewhere?

    Thanks

    Yeah the armor is correct.

It's just completing the quest and adding another completion towards the whole level set and the game.

It's level 16 of each world that is the secret level. I too was initially confused by the secret level being 16. It would have made more sense if it was labeled "S" or "Secret".
