Dear all, It is our pleasure to announce Go Yeti!, available very shortly on the AppStore for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Born out of the hinterland that created legendary games such as Lemmings and Grand Theft Auto, Edinburgh-based Nevistech was launched in 2012 to create fun and friendly mobile games for kids and their parents. Nevistech's first title "Go Yeti!" has been produced in collaboration with Wet Yeti, a graphics and illustration studio designing cool character-based cards and prints, which have built-up a dedicated following in the UK. To quote Nevistech's founder, Anthony Magrath: "We just wanted to create something really cool that both us and our kids would like playing. Wet Yeti produce incredible artwork and have created some amazing characters which we both thought would work really well in a game. We set about bringing the characters to life using rag-doll themes. We gave all the characters joints and body parts with mass and friction, but they move in a crazy way that you cannot get in real life." Go Yeti is not your usual game. The attention to detail and quirky style is apparent from the moment you launch the game. Go Yeti is cool, but also, Go Yeti is cute and funny, just like kids are! Nevistech has been able to blend in a mix of cultural influences focussed on Scottish themes, but with a zany twist. Where else can you ride over sand dunes on a flying carpet, wearing kilt and sporran, sucking-up mosquitos into your bagpipes?! Go Yeti is musical, and this is something that young kids really get. Our musical director Nuimo was keen to add cool tunes and riffs to bring life to the characters. In the room where the Yetis hang out you can jam along to the music and make them dance. It all adds to creating something unique and quirky.
