I don't think this game's even been submitted, much less "in review" by the Apple app reviewers. Plus, there's been no promotion since the end of October. Anyone care to check and report if the game's been submitted and is in review?
Why would you not think that its been submitted? If they say the launch is next week, I'm sure there was a plan to submit it in the last week or two.
My guess is it's been already submitted and is tentatively scheduled for release on the 17th. Here's the response I got from Glu on their facebook page: Glu Mobile: " Glyder 2 is coming very, very soon....December 17! " Can't wait! This is one of my all-time fav games.
I really hope it does come out this Thursday Dec. 17. This is probably the last game I'll buy in a while after a recent shopping spree. I love open world/exploration games, and even better the ones where the character flies at a low speed. Glyder's probably my favorite game in the iPhone, and Glyder 2 promises to be much better with a bigger world and customization.
Its not as much that people who were planning to buy both won't. Its more about their visibility. If they put it out on a slower day then more people will recognize it and the press will be more excited. If NOVA comes out as well, their spotlight is stolen.
Add to that that there's been next to no press for this game, save a pre-preview in some web sites back in October 2009. I haven't even seen an updated video of this same, save for the Slide to Play video back in October! I hope the lack of news in gaming websites doesn't mean that the release date has been pushed back...
The game is definitely submitted, approved, and launching Thursday. Hopefully it will shine through the App Store crowd.
